The Central England/Cotswolds region

Central England is a popular area for its picturesque towns and rolling fields. The renowned city of Oxford boasts over 30 colleges with picture-book quadrangles and lawns, and most are open to visitors for a small fee. Stratford-On-Avon is another great visitor attraction, with visitors keen to see Shakespeare’s home town and the RSC productions staged here all year round.

Napton makes an excellent base for exploring the wonderful countryside with many canal and country walks.Nearby are Kenilworth and Warwick famous for their Castles and Stratford upon Avon with its tourist venues and Theatre.

The tops are occupied by the Church of Saint Lawrence and a Windmill, now a private house. The Oxford canal encircles the hill and meets with the Grand Union Canal at Napton junction. Day boat hire is possible from many of the local boatyards.

The Folly Inn is a popular public house offering good home cooking and well kept ales. A small shop is also situated on site catering for essential provisions, groceries, gifts etc. Folly cottages make an excellent base for exploring surrounding countryside with many canal and country walks.

"Wonderful - no. 11"

Property was spotless. This area is very beautiful. Cottage has lovely views. Very quiet surroundings. Excellent base for exploring the many places of interest. Only about 15 miles from Stratford upon avon. A word of advice is that if you plan to eat at the nearby Folly inn, then you should book in advance as it is very popular. Loved every minute of this short break and would definitely stay again

So glad you enjoyed the cottage. Do come and see us again!

Thank you for your review. As you know we replaced grill pan as soon as you alerted us. I have taken note of the other points raised and these will be investigated.
