About the home

The property is located close to the fabulous Wimbledon Park which has tennis courts, crazy golf, 2 children's playgrounds, boating lake and picnic opportunities. Nearby to Wimbledon Common with horse riding and golfing facilities. Wimbledon Village is a treat providing stylish shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs as well as people watching opportunities!

The famous Wimbledon Tennis Club & Museum is just a short walk across the park.Nearest tube is Southfields on the District Line which will take you straight to Knightsbridge (Harrods), Kensington, Chelsea, Notting Hill, Victoria (Buckingham Palace), London's West End and City. Also close to Richmond Park and the Thames for fabulous walks or riverboat cruises.

There is a family bathroom as well as 1 bathroom en suite to the master bedroom.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
On a 2 week stay a cleaner will also be provided once mid let for a maximum of 3 hours. If you need her more you can negotiate with her directly of course.
There will be toilet rolls and liquid soap provided.
The kitchen is very well equipped with all the pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery that you are likely to need.

Perfect size private garden. Lush ivy walls provide privacy. Part lawn, part decking, a garden dining table for 6 as well as a small 'country' table which seats 3. BBQ and log burning chimney provided.
A daily parking pass can be provided if needed.

1. All bookings require a 20% non-refundable deposit. The balance is then due eight weeks before your holiday commences. Non-payment by the due date will be construed as a cancellation by the client.
2. In the event of cancellation, every effort will be made to re-let the house. If we are successful, we will refund the balance. The deposit remains non-refundable. We recommend you insure against this event.
3. Bookings made eight weeks or less before arrival require payment in full.
4. Welcome pack provided for arrival.
5. All bed linen and towels are supplied. Beach towels are NOT supplied.
6. We operate a NO SMOKING policy at the house.
7. Please report any damage or breakages. Any damages during your stay must be paid for.
8. A refundable £500 damage deposit is due 2 weeks befire arrival and returned 1 week later.
9. One dog may be allowed by prior arrangement (on the strict understanding that it does not leap all over the furniture!) at an additional cost of £25

We are located near to the world-famous Wimbledon Tennis Club, which every summer welcomes Federer, Nadal, Andy Murray and the rest for one of the world's most iconic tennis tournaments. Other places of interest include Canizarro House, Richmond Park,Hampton Court, Richmond Upon Thames, Wimbledon Common, Buckingham Place, Harrods, Kensigton Palace, Notting Hill, Chelsea, Fulham, Putney. Chelsea & Fulham football clubs. The Hurtlingham Club. Ham House, Ham Polo Club, shopping London West End, Wimbledon Village.

Guestbook for The Bird's Nest

The expression 'home from home' is probably the best way to describe the Birds Nest. We drove over from Brussels, arrived in the house, unpacked and settled in = as did the kids! and it was fantastic = my family live nearby and they commented it looked like we had been there for ever...they have thought of everything! Just like home, beautifully appointed, tastefully furnished and lots of little extras - plus a fantastic welcome pack! We regularly stay in luxury accommodation for private and work related reasons and this was one of the few places where we felt totally comfortable and relaxed. As a result we came back again for another week just two months later. Would fully recommend it for anyone wanting a well located base in London in a nice area with easy access to the centre.
