Home description
This chic two bedroom, split-level apartment is part of a recently modernised semi-detached conversion. With FREE parking and its close proximity to the rail station it is excellent value for money.
It is on the first and second floors overlooking the quiet tree-lined street on which it is situated and there is a large garden to the rear of the property. (As an interesting fact, before it was converted this house was owned by the UK's first lady vicar, on whom the hit comedy series "The Vicar of Dibley" was based. Neighbours say Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders were regular visitors while researching the role!)
Located in a quiet suburb near the beautiful green space of Streatham Common, it is just a 3 minute walk from this apartment to Streatham Common Mainline Station, which will take you into the 'West End' in less than 20 minutes.
Streatham Common, and nearby Streatham High Street, have a huge choice of bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance, including a large Sainsburys, and there is even a cinema, ice rink and indoor kart racing track nearby!
An open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge to relax in
Spacious kitchen comes with all the mod cons
Bedroom 1 - tranquil colours and ample storage
Bedroom 2 - classic white but with a splash of colour

The South East England / Greater London region
Where do you start trying to describe London's attractions? The history, the famous locations and buildings, the hundreds of activities to do, the thousands of shows and events on offer...and that's just in Central London.
Even the 'highlights' depend on what takes your fancy. If you're a 'first timer' to London, of course you must see the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben), the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column, Downing Street, St Paul's, The Mall, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Harrods, the British Museum...
But where to stop? Take in a West End show? Of course. Do a cruise down the Thames? Perhaps. What about Madame Tussauds? The London Dungeon? The National Gallery? The Tate? The London Aquarium? London Zoo? Hyde Park? Greenwich? Hampton Court? HMS Belfast? Kew Gardens...
The fact is there are many many sources of information on such things, from websites to Tourist Information, so we shall not even try and do justice to London in a paragraph or two here. It is quite simply one of the world's great cities, where you could spend weeks and still not feel you have seen everything worth seeing. You pays your money, and you takes your choice, but one thing's for sure...you'll never be bored!
South-West London / Streatham Common area
Streatham Common is a suburb in the south west of London. The Common itself is a beautiful wide open green space great for walks, jogging etc, a place where you can feel a million miles from the heart of one of the world's busiest capital cities yet are, in fact, less than 20 minutes away from all of London's attractions.
Just at the end of Ellison road (3 minutes walk away), as well as Streatham Common station, you will find several convenience shops, a post office, a gastro pub and a few other cafes and restaurants. If you walk a further 5 minutes to Streatham High Road, the choice of pubs and eateries of all nationalities expands dramatically. In fact Streatham High Road is reputed to be the longest High Street in all of Europe. Along its length, as well as a whole host of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants, there is a large Sainsbury's supermarket, many banks, a cinema, a leisure centre and even an ice rink and indoor kart racing!
