Kitchen has an under counter fridge and an additional large fridge/freezer, 7kg washing machine. wall-mounted TV. All the crockery, cutlery, pots and pans you could wish for are provided. There is also a small table with 2 chairs.
The lounge/diner has a 42 " flatscreen Panasonic Viera TV and stereo system with CD player. The large oak dining table with leather high-back chairs seats 6 very comfortably and there is a large leather sofa and leather relaxer chair.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed.
Bedroom 3 has a set of single bunk beds.

The South East England region
Where do you start trying to describe London's attractions? The history, the famous locations and buildings, the hundreds of activities to do, the thousands of shows and events on offer...
Even the 'highlights' depend on what takes your fancy. If you're a 'first timer' to London, of course you must see the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben), the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column, Downing Street, St Paul's, The Mall, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Harrods, the British Museum...
But where to stop? Take in a West End show? Of course. Do a cruise down the Thames? Perhaps. What about Madame Tussauds? The London Dungeon? The National Gallery? The Tate? The London Aquarium? London Zoo? Hyde Park? Greenwich? Hampton Court? HMS Belfast? Kew Gardens...
The fact is there are many sources of information on such things, from websites to Tourist Information, so we shall not even try and do justice to London in a paragraph or two here. It is quite simply one of the world's great cities, where you could spend weeks and still not feel you have seen everything worth seeing. It's all up to you, but one thing's for sure...you'll never be bored!
South West London
Balham, 'Gateway to the South' (as it is affectionately known, after an old Peter Sellers comedy) is 'south of the river'. More specifically it is in the South London borough of Wandsworth, near Clapham. Just like neighbouring Clapham before it, Balham has undergone a massive transformation over recent years. This area is one of THE places to live for London commuters, young families and indeed celebrities such as TV presenter Sarah Beeny, and TV chef Ainsley Harriot.
As well as all the coffee bars, shops and supermarkets you might expect, within a mile radius there are also excellent restaurants ranging from Italian to Nepalese, Thai to Persian, Portuguese to Moroccan and the popular 'Harrisons' (part-owned by celebrity chef Rick Stein). There are bars aplenty too, perhaps the best known being 'The Bedford'. Winner of the Evening Standard award for Best London Pub 2002, the 'Banana Cabaret' part of the Bedford is a famous live music and comedy venue that attracts big names week in week out. This is just round the corner from the apartment!
Tooting Common, Wandsworth Common and Clapham Common are all within walking distance. Nearby Tooting Common boasts the UK's largest open air swimming pool and has tennis courts, a children's playground and plenty of space for outdoor activities.
Balham Leisure Centre with its gym, exercise classes, indoor pool and squash courts is a 2 minute walk away.
Major attractions close-by include famous sporting venues like Wimbledon Tennis, Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium and Twickenham Ruby Stadium, as well as Kew Gardens and Richmond Upon Thames.
St. Georges Hospital is also nearby.

"Lovely Apartment, great location fantastic short break"
Took a long weekend with my husband and 2 small children. Balham is brilliant as a base, tube really handy and apartment ideally located for tube,cafes and restaurants. Apartment had everything we needed and more! It was wonderfully clean and tidy and was a real home from home. With a family much easier to stay in then a hotel. Handy supermarket very nearby for the essentials. Thanks Julie another amazing apartment.

We needed a flat for the family near the tube and overland railway so the flat was very close. The accommodation was very good spacious and well furnished. The owners were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Shops and restaurants close by. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Excellent location and accommodation"
The apartment was of a high standard with plenty of room to accomodate all our guests with all modern facilities. The two bathrooms was a god send as we were a party of 8 with children ranging from 7 months to 18 years old. It was very centrally located, close to tube station and a wide range of restaurants, carry outs and supermarkets.
Hello again and thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We too love Balham - it has a lovely feel to it for families and with the apartment being just down the street from the Tube, supermarket and all amenities it is, as you point out, very centrally located. I'm not sure if you know, but we have many other units in the same building, next door and across the street - so if your extended family group grows we have lots of options for your future stays with us.

"Spotless, great amenities, good location"
Stayed here for 10 nights in June. The flat was about a 5 minute walk to the Northern Underground Line. We took the Tube every day to all the major tourist sites. The Tube rides were probably 30 mi… More

We did find your items and are glad that they wer back in your hands without very much delay. There's no doubt that new double-glazed windows will make a world of difference to how much exterior sounds travel into the apartment. The windows have been ordered and have now arrived. All we need to do is find a small gap in our calendar between guests and they will be replaced! We're really happy that you and your family enjoyed Balham as a base for experiencing all that London has to offer.
