LOCATION: Note that the property is located very close to Richmond town centre on Church Road....not in the park as suggested on the accompanying map.
Exclusive area popular with the rich & famous, close to Central London: A 20 minute train journey takes you to Waterloo station in Central London, where you'll find many popular sites such as the London Eye, Parliament, Westminster Abbey and South Bank Festival Hall. The apartment is located on one of the main residential roads in the most exclusive 'Golden Triangle' area of Richmond-Upon-Thames, where Mick Jagger and several millionaires choose to live. From the apartment, it is only a 6 minute walk to Richmond train station which provides tube / underground access to London via the District Line to attractions such as Kew Gardens (5 mins), Westfield Shopping Centre (25 mins), Piccadilly Circus / Oxford Circus (30 mins).
Direct trains to top British attractions: In addition, Richmond train station offers overground trains to Waterloo station (as mentioned above), but also direct trains to tourist attractions outside of London such as the Royal town of Windsor where the Queen lives (30 mins), Hampton Court Palace where Henry VIII lived (10 mins), Wimbledon to watch the tennis (20 mins), Ham to watch the Polo (10 mins). For visitors with children, the Thorpe Park and LegoLand theme parks are both easily accessible by only a single 15 - 30 minute train.
For business travellers, the apartment also conveniently located only 6 mins from Pepsico and 10 mins to Richmond Bridge where eBay and many other eCommerce businesses are located.
The apartment is conveniently located close to Heathrow Airport and I can recommend a fantastic low-priced reputable taxi company.

Prestigious Richmond High-Street full of branded amenities: Richmond-Upon-Thames is an exclusive and prestigious neighbourhood set along the River Thames, where Mick Jagger and several millionaires choose to live, where the Beatles and the Rolling Stones originated, and where famous actresses and actors like Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Sandra Bullock choose to stay when they film in London. It has lots of green space, fantastic restaurants and a high-street that has many branded shops like Gap, House of Fraser, Hobbs, Russell & Bromley, Laura Ashley and many more. In addition, it has many beautiful boutique stores where you can find one-off home and fashion items. It has all of the basics too, with multiple pharmacies and a range of supermarkets, including Marks & Spencer and WholeFoods (opening soon).
Exclusive Richmond Hill: The area of Richmond closest to the river, and up the hill is one of the most exclusive in the South East of England. Richmond Hill Village is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment, and has a local butcher, wine shop, baker (with the best pastries & cupcakes in London!) plus a handful of boutique stores. Richmond Hill itself has a variety of boutique home and fashion stores, alongside award-winning restaurants.
Residents of Richmond are among the healthiest in the UK due to the abundance of activities: In Richmond itself, you can do a wide range of fun activities, including hire a boat to row up the River Thames; rent bicycles to cycle along the Thames Path to local towns Hampton Court or Kingston; cycle, run or stroll around Richmond Park (the largest Royal Park in London, great for wildlife enthusiasts due to the deer, birds and other wild animals). There are also many walking tours, gyms, outdoor activity groups which I can advise you on if interested.
Richmond is a great place to stay to experience British culture: 110-year-old Richmond Theatre is often the first stop for London's West End theatre shows as they tour the country, playing host to shows such as The Rat Pack, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Nearby cultural attractions include Hampton Court Palace which was home to King Henry VIII, Kew Steam Museum, plus the abundance of cultural attractions that Central London has to offer such as the Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Tate Museum of Modern Art etc...
The apartment is located on the first floor of a 3 storey luxury Victorian property originally built in 1895 and split into apartments in 2001 to offer both the luxuries of modern living with the character of a period property. It offers much larger than average living space for a one bedroom apartment, with 2.3 meter high ceilings, oak flooring, painted oak kitchen with granite worktops, large knee-to-ceiling bay windows in both the living room and bedroom, plus wall-to-wall wardrobes and storage space in the bedroom The entire property was recently renovated inside and out, with new kitchen, floors, paintwork … near enough everything is new … so guests can expect a high quality apartment upon arrival.
LIVING ROOM / KITCHEN - The property comprises a large open-planned reception room with one sofa for 3 guests, a large armchair for 1 guest, plus a bay window seat that can accommodate 6+. The open plan kitchen opens up onto both the living and dining areas, with a dining table for 4 guests (plus 2 additional chairs are available upon request). The kitchen comes stocked with everything a guest might need including microwave, full height fridge / freezer, dishwasher, oven, gas hob, food/smoothie blender plus full dining and cooking sets. In addition, I provide guests with use of the coffee machine which is my morning saviour with plenty of coffee pods, tea and sugar, which I just ask guests to leave a contribution towards restocking if they find they haven't been able to live without it either! BEDROOM - In the bedroom, there is a double bed, dressing table and full length mirror. In addition, I have a double aero-bed which inflates and deflates in just 1 minute, plus provide additional bedding for it, so this can be used for children or additional guests either beside the master bed, or in the living room. BATHROOM - You have the option of either a nice hot shower, or a relaxing bath, and I provide plenty of towels.
While the flat does not come with a dedicated parking space, if you are looking to hire / bring a car for your visit, I can supply parking permits where you can park nearby on very safe residential roads for less than £5 per day. The maximum walking distance to your car using these permits will be 3 minutes, but there is more often than not parking right outside the property. Between 18:30pm and 8:30am Monday - Saturday and all day Sunday, parking is free on single yellow lines right outside the apartment.
Please note: As the property is being prepped for a long let, there is currently no wifi or TV in the property. Instead, I provide a Bose sound system that you can listen to music on via your iPhone or iPod, and I would encourage you to take advantage of all of the sights and culture that Richmond and London have to offer.
Overall, I have designed the apartment to have a very fresh and relaxing feel to it, and I love it for it's fantastic location. I would love to share my apartment with you and welcome enquiries from guests.
