Contemporary two bedroom apartment (sleeps six, maximum 4 adults), located in Earlsfield, South West London, including communal roof terrace with stunning views of London. Situated on a lovely tree-lined Victorian road, conveniently located close to Earlsfield train station (12 minutes to central London and one stop to Wimbledon Station). Earlsfield has a range of good bars, restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. For families of young children there is a fantastic playzone called It's a Kids Thing directly opposite the apartment. (

Ideally situated for the Wimbledon Championships. For a small taxi fare you can get to the tennis in less than 10 mins. However, last year after the tennis, on a lovely summers evening we decided to walk back to Earlsfield via Wimbledon Park and up Penwith Rd which took us 30 mins. There is also a taxi office next door to the apartment block.

The very pretty Wandsworth Common is a short walk away offering great outdoor space, a couple of playgrounds and tennis courts. It also borders Bellevue Rd with its eclectic mix of shops as well as the highly regarded Chez Bruce restaurant.

No smoking in the apartment and, unfortunately, no pets allowed. Children welcome but we ask that you render close supervision especially on the roof terrace. We assume no liability for the safety of your children during your stay. Deductions for extra cleaning that is required will be taken from your security deposit.

The South East England region

The boroughs south of the river, including Wandsworth, are renowned for their green space. Close to the apartment you will find King George's Park. Laid out over 55 acres, the park boasts one of London's finest lakes in terms of sustainable water quality and providing a natural habitat for indigenous wildlife. The park is mainly open grassland and is popular in the summer for kicking a ball around, picnics, tennis or cycling. For the kids there is a children's playground. In the other direction towards Tooting you will find the smaller Garratt Park which also has a children's playground.

There are 3 leisure centres in the area including Tooting Leisure Centre which has a public swimming pool. Tooting Lido boasts the largest outdoor swimming pool in Europe.

Earlsfield library is located immediately next to the apartment.

South West London

We love this family friendly area with it's close proximity to Wandsworth Common, King George's Park and the many shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Bordering Wandsworth Common is Bellevue Rd with it's eclectic range of shops and the highly regarded Chez Bruce restaurant.

A mere four minutes by train from Earlsfield Station, Wimbledon is home to excellent shopping, two theatres, a cinema complex and a large number of buzzing bars, pubs, restaurants and bistros.

Earlsfield train station is situated just around the corner in Garratt Lane and is operated by South West Trains. Frequent train services both in a northbound direction to Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and London Waterloo, and a southbound direction towards Wimbledon, Dorking, Woking, Guildford via Cobham/Epsom, Kingston & Richmond, Hampton Court, Shepperton and Chessington South. Clapham Junction has connections to the rest of the SW network.

Bus services 44(Victoria-Tooting), 77(Waterloo-Tooting) 270(Putney Bridge-Mitcham), N44(Aldwych-Sutton) operate fro the bus stops in Garratt Lane located outside/opp Barclays Bank and Earlsfield Power Tools.

Thank you for your review and suggestions regarding making 208 The Magdalen better. With regards to the second bedroom we will be changing the sleeping arrangements in there to two single beds from April as we have many families enquiring whose children don't necessarily want to sleep together. We will then supply a small wardrobe with hanging space as well as drawers or provide hooks at least. And happy to purchase toilet roll holders and soap holders to make life easier!

"Modern, clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and extremely conveniently situated"

I spent a week with my young daughters (3 and 5yrs) at Magdalen apartments while on holiday in London in September. The apartment was perfect and catered to all our needs. It was clean, modern and extremely well presented. The management and staff were friendly, professional and welcoming during the booking process and on our arrival. The bedrooms were bright, reasonably sized with very comfortable beds. The open plan living room, dining area and kitchen were as expected - functional and comfortable. Perhaps the most striking feature of the apartment is its location - situated above a Sainsbury express and literally around the corner from Earlsfield station (about 100m for the front door!). The trip to London Waterloo station is quick (about 20mins with about 3 stops) with trains departing frequently. The Sainsbury shop below the apartment stays open to 11pm each night which is very convenient. Although in a relatively busy area, the apartment is quiet with adequate climate control. Didn't use the lovely rooftop area but would have if my daughters were a little older.

If I ever have to come to London again I will certainly try book into 208 Magdalen apartment.

"A last minute trip to London to see Mamma Mia and some of the sites....."

We needed accommodation last minute after finding so few hotels offering interconnecting rooms or suites that can accommodate 3 children. Is having 3 children that unusual? So after wasting an hour or so we looked at apartments and found No.208. The location was perfect for central London and being located right over a Sainsburys Local and literally next door to Earlsfield station was amazing - Waterloo in 15min door to door.
The apartment itself has an underground parking space which is a bonus. The rooms were all very clean and modern. The kitchen/living room area was great for our weekend and so much nicer than a hotel. Bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and really like home from home. We will definitely be booking again as our children asked for the trip to be a yearly event. Also the communication from the owner and housekeeper were fantastic. We will not hesitate to recommend this apartment to all our friends.

"Great Place - Great Location!"

Travel to City and surrounding locations was very easy with the train station just next door. Grocery store just below apartment with a good choice of resturants with in easy walking distance - Carluccio's Italian - is a must go to. Apartment was very up to date, clean and had plenty of room. Shower's were awesome! Wi-Fi very nice amenity.

"Excellent location, great apartment"

This apartment is very well presented and in a great location, our family loved it. We traveled with 2 young children (3.5, 1.5). The eldest was delighted to have her own double room. There was space for the travel cot (provided at the property) to go in our room, but we found that it (just) fitted into the walk in shower.... by sacrificing one of the two showers we thus guaranteed we wouldn't be disturbed and could move around the flat more easily. The flat is well insulated so it was not a problem to move into the kitchen after the kids were asleep and watch TV without fear of waking them up. Another great thing about the location (if you have kids) is being directly opposite, very handy if one of us had both of the kids for a bit whilst the other did something else. Earlsfield station has lots of trains and a lift to/from station so again great for kids/prams. Kitchen has great facilities and a high chair - though for our youngest it was a little low compared to the breakfast bar (be prepared for cleaning the floor after each meal). The bar chairs are quite high but we had a portable high chair that meant we could clip the eldest into a chair without any dramas. Sainsbury's is right below the flat so you will never run out of anything either. Kids loved the roof terrace (if they like trains, then they will have great excitement watching as they go past). We probably won't be in London again for a year or two (we were visiting from Australia) but assuming we can convince the kids to share a double bed, we would definitely stay here again.

"Perfect and so much better than an hotel"

"We arrived by car to be greeted very efficiently by Stella whom we'd 'phoned when we thought we were about 10 minutes away. The traffic dictated that 10 minutes turned into 30 minutes but Stella was still there on the pavement with the fob to open the electric gates to the underground car park. What a bonus that is. You can access the lift to the apartment from the car park. How convenient and weatherproof is that! As a car is pretty useless in London, it's a comfort not to have to leave it parked on the street for days.

We realised, from the description, that the apartment was reasonably modern but it looked almost brand new with underfloor heating and modern bathrooms and a well-fitted kitchen including an induction hob.

Despite being across the road from a pub and being over a Sainsbury's local, the double glazing kept out all but the loudest police/ambulance sirens and we didn't hear a peep from the residents either alongside or above or below.

Brilliant to be able to pop down to Sainsbury's for milk or a newspaper or a bottle of wine.

Again, from a soundproofing viewpoint, you wouldn't know you were next to a railway station but how handy it is for getting into London from Earlsfield - Waterloo is less than 15 minutes and trains are frequent."
