A cosy and comfortable home, it has a double bed in the master bedroom, a set of single bunks in the second bedroom and sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen has a large rustic oak table with comfortable dining space for four. Via a small lobby off the kitchen is the bathroom with bath and shower over it, WC and access to the private fenced patio.
It's on a quiet residential street just five minutes walk from the Colliers Wood tube station, which is on the Northern Line. Across the street from the tube is a well-stocked convenience centre with groceries and a few minutes further walk there are two large shopping areas as well as a large supermarket complex. Nearby is Wandle Park and the market and heritage centre of Merton Abbey Mills.
Colliers Wood shares it's postcode with Wimbledon, which is walkable in 20 minutes. The Wimbledon Tennis Championships and a wide variety of restaurants such as Bill's and Aubaine can be found in nearby Wimbledon. Cannizaro House's award winning restaurant and its public park sit adjacent to the Royal Wimbledon golf course.
The styling of the interior takes its cues from the original fabric of the building; a decorative feature fireplace, natural knotted wooden doors and traditional features.

The London region
Where do you start trying to describe London's attractions? The history, the famous locations and buildings, the hundreds of activities to do, the thousands of shows and events on offer...and that's just in Central London.
Even the 'highlights' depend on what takes your fancy. If you're a 'first timer' to London, of course you must see the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben), the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column, Downing Street, St Paul's, The Mall, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, Harrods, the British Museum...
But where to stop? Take in a West End show? Of course. Do a cruise down the Thames? Perhaps. What about Madame Tussauds? The London Dungeon? The National Gallery? The Tate? The London Aquarium? London Zoo? Hyde Park? Greenwich? Hampton Court? HMS Belfast? Kew Gardens...
The fact is there are many many sources of information on such things, from websites to Tourist Information, so we shall not even try and do justice to London in a paragraph or two here. It is quite simply one of the world's great cities, where you could spend weeks and still not feel you have seen everything worth seeing. One thing's for sure...you'll never be bored!
South West London
Getting to and from Colliers Wood is easy on the Tube. The Northern Line tube can take you into Leicester Square in just 30 minutes.
Colliers Wood shares its postcode district with Wimbledon and is a great cost effective base for the Wimbledon Tennis or for experiencing London. Popular with families, it's a safe and comfortable area with great shopping in the Tandem Retail Park (TK Maxx, Next, Boots, Mamas & Papas, WH Smith, etc.) and the large Sainsbury's Hypermarket which also has Marks & Spencers in the same building.
On the banks of the River Wandle is Merton Abbey Mills - consisiting of a craft market, heritage centre, shops, restaurant, and pub. Merton Abbey Mills is within easy walking distance from Boyd Garden. It's a great family day out, priding itself as London's Alternative Market, specialising in arts and crafts, with a bustling weekend market, regular live music and exciting activities for both children and families alike, including children's activites every weekend.
For children there are also places nearby with swings, springers, multi activity units, seesaws and even a trailblazer. If a paddling pool with a friendly crocodile in the middle is more what your kids are looking for there's even that!
And if venturing off to the 'bigger sights' of London seems a bit too much like hard work with the kids you can always take a day off and visit yet another one the the local area attractions. Deen City Park offers a small farm with stables and gardens where families can interact with cows, sheep, alpacas, ferrets and other animals. Regular activities include the chance to feed the animals, ride a pony and stroke smaller pets like rabbits and guinea pigs.
Major attractions close-by include not only the famous sporting venues like Wimbledon and Twickenham but also Kew Gardens and Richmond Upon Thames.
St. Georges Hospital is also nearby.

"Ideal place to stay in South London"
I would absoultely recommend Boyd Garden. We chose it as it is close to family but it would be equally good to stay there if you're looking for an affordable good-sized space south of the river. It is very close to the tube and amenities and located on a pleasant and quiet street.
The house itself is in good condition, well-equipped and was perfect for our needs. There's also a great little back garden. Definitely recommended for a small family. Our kids loved the bunk beds.
Julie who manages the property was a pleasure to deal with before, during and after our stay and was very responsive to our needs.

I stayed at Boyd Gardens with my mother and son who is 8yrs old. Julie was very helpful with information and we had someone pop by to see if we needed anything. The location is close to the Colliers wood station and lots of small convience shops close by for food etc. Within walking distance is the M&S and grocery store Sansbury also. The apartment was well equiped and the kitchen was our favorite place to sit as it stayed cool. The lounge was nice but the couch was not comfortable to sit in, so often sat on the floor. My only really complaints was the backyard could have been maintained better. It had weeds everywhere and looked very messy, the weather was very hot when we were there and we liked to sit outside and have a BBQ. We enjoyed our stay and could come again to stay.

"A Great Place that has it all!!"
I stayed at this lovely place for almost a month. My kids (4 and 2 years) loved it as well and started calling it "our home" right after arrival. The place is fully equipped with all what you can ask for. Full kitchen, WIFi, Cable, Backyard...etc
Everything was perfect from the day we booked untill our departure
I would always come back to this nice apartment whenever I'm in town and it is available.

"Comfortable flat, excellent service"
The flat is comfortable, clean and nicely decorated, with all conveniences. Super efficient heating - useful in winter! Well equipped kitchen, cozy living room. As I was staying with an older adult relative, I took the bunk room which is really more suited to children - I could of course have used the sofa bed in the living room.
It's a ground floor flat so suitable for people who have difficulties with stairs.
Julie and Mike provided a very friendly, helpful and efficient service; you feel well looked after.
There were a couple of things I couldn't find in the kitchen (colander and cafetiere) but apparently either I missed them or they'd been taken!
Otherwise my only slight criticism is that the front door is not very well lit, especially when you're arriving for the first time and trying to see to operate the key safe.
Overseas visitors should note that Colliers Wood, despite its rural-sounding name, is a very ordinary and mostly rather dull suburb (though quite safe) and Boyd Road is a very ordinary street. But the price obviously reflects this - you'd pay more for somewhere in the posh part of Wimbledon, let alone central London. But Colliers Wood has its attractions too - don't miss the historic Merton Abbey Mills, or (if you have children) Deene City Farm. And with the tube station a few minutes' walk away you can be in central London in 40 minutes or so. The area's fine for food shopping; Wimbledon isn't far if you want more upmarket shops.
