Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 6
At Crawsteps we can accommodate up to six people plus young children and a well-behaved dog. We offer you a large dining room with adjoining fully-equipped kitchen, ideal for reunions and dinner parties, a luxurious and spacious lounge with multi-fuel stove from where you can keep an eye on the shipping on the Forth, 2 large bedrooms with plenty of storage space and a bright, modern bathroom. Free Wi-Fi., linen, fuel and cleaning are also included in our rates. We have tried to equip the apartment so that nothing is lacking during your stay, so you will find lots of tourist information, books and dvds with a Scottish / British theme, novels and activity books for adults and children. For rainy days we have cupboards of board games, jigsaws, toys and an Xbox 360.
The flat is up one flight of stairs and is child-friendly. (Cot, high chair and playpen available on request). Your dog is welcome too! We occupy the entire second floor of a much photographed building, originally built in 1674, it is a grade B listed building in a conservation area. A traditional, real-ale pub serving sensibly priced pub grub is on the ground floor, 'The Ferry Tap' has a really friendly atmosphere and even welcomes children and dogs.
We are delighted to greet our guests when they arrive and to introduce them to the apartment. We speak French and German (as well as English!). We can provide a welcome pack and tips on things to see and do in the area. We do not live on the premises, but are only 15 minutes away.
Queensferry is a very pretty, historic town in its own right with numerous restaurants, bars and two supermarkets. There are scenic walks in the woods or along the sea-shore from our doorstep. The town has a small museum and is the start point for boat trips out to the islands of the Firth of Forth to watch wildlife, including large seasonal puffin colonies. Of course, it is also the best place to see the world famous bridges. Easy access both to Edinburgh and to the rest of Scotland - you can be amidst the Lochs and glens within 40 minutes drive.
We opened for business in May 2014. The flat is newly furnished and ready to welcome you, so why not take a chance, you'll not regret holidaying in Queensferry!

It was a pleasure to have you to stay for the week. Thank you for doing so much to tidy up at the end of your stay, it really wasn't necessary, but nevertheless was very much appreciated. We also enjoyed getting to know you and the interesting lives you all lead. That's part of this job that I really love. Hope to meet again one day.
