The South-East London / Sydenham area
Sydenham Station is easy travelling to the Olympic sites. Look at the London underground map, we are on the orange line. (It's confusingly called London Overground line - which is separate from the railway line!) We are one minute walk from Crystal Palace Park which has a children's playground, cafe, lake, the Dinosaur Court and the National Sports Centre with Athletics Stadium - Grand Prix events held here in the summer. Nearby is Dulwich Village which has a park with a boating lake and cycle hire. The Picture Gallery in Dulwich Village houses work by famous artists including Sir Thomas Gainsborough, Rubens and Van Dyck. Hornimans Natural History Museum is a short bus ride away in Forest Hill. We have supermarkets, restaurants and pubs (Yes - Gastro-pubs) within walking distance.

This was a very unexpected place. The pictures don't do this place justice. It's so big and gorgeous. It was my husband, me and our daughters aged 9 & 17 that stayed here. It is about a 20 min overground ride to Central London but the Overground is about a 10 min walk from the flat. It is extremely fast and convienent. There is a bus stop right around the corner from the flat. Can't say enough about this place except definitely stay here. It will be worth it. If I make it back to London any time soon, I will be staying here again.

The owner was very accommodating and friendly throughout the process. The property was a nice 2 bedroom with a great little kitchen and a comfortable reception room. We were able to walk just a few minutes to train stations that allowed us to explore the whole city of London and make it back in the evenings easily. The area was quiet and the entire stay was nice.
