The South East England region

Crystal Palace is very family-friendly. Eating out at restaurants and cafes in Crystal Palace is a must with excellent food from all regions of the globe. Crystal Palace park is the place to work up an appetite or for the more sedate, antique hunting is always good fun. South East England offers access to field and forest (eg the famous Winnie The Pooh Ashdown Forest) and a slice of history (Leeds Castle and Hastings where Normans and Saxons slugged it out) yet central London is only 20 mins away with its famous historical and theatrical landscape.

South East London

Crystal Palace park with the National Sports Centre and restored Victorian Dinosaur Park is a great place to visit. Artists thrive in Crystal Palace and there are often open days when their work can be viewed. Dulwich Picture Gallery, England's first art gallery and the famous Horniman museum are nearby.
