Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 5
Historic Crystal Palace is one of the safest, greenest and nicest areas of London with excellent cafes and restaurants. The modernised apartment is very spacious and bright with furnishing by Ikea. It occupies one floor of the oldest and most striking tudor-style houses in the Crystal Palace area which can be seen in the impressionist painting of Pisarro. The apartment comes with all towels, linen etc., wireless internet access and digibox tv. Private parking is available.
Access to central tourist attractions is quick and easy. The mainline station is a short walk away with frequent, inexpensive and fast trains to the centre. We (Stuart and Vivienne) live nearby and will be pleased to help you enjoy your stay. We have had very positive feedback about the apartment and have had visitors from all over the globe.

The apartment occupies the whole of the top of the house on the second floor. This gives great views of the garden and our famous oak tree but it does mean that there are two floors of stairs. Having said this, if you have no problem in your own house you should have no problem at all.
|Further details outdoors|
The house is set in a large woodland garden with private parking. Parks and all amenities, including supermarket, restaurants and cafes are a 2 minute walk away.
We DO NOT charge a returnable deposit for breakages - we understand that accidents happen.
The South East England region
South East England offers access to field and forest (eg the famous Winnie The Pooh Ashdown Forest) and a slice of history (Leeds Castle and Hastings where Normans and Saxons slugged it out) yet central London is only 20 mins away with its famous historical and theatrical landscape.
South East London
Crystal Palace is very family-friendly. Eating out in Crystal Palace is a must with excellent food from all regions of the globe. Crystal Palace park is the place to work up an apetite or for the more sedate, antique hunting is always good fun.

We always address any issues quickly. The toilet did flush but it was temperamental. I called out our plumber but he had to visit a couple of times because the cistern bolt was rusted and needed to be cut off. It was fixed within a couple of days. We appreciate the constructive feedback about the WiFi. Smart phones do not seem as good as laptops and netbooks at picking up the wireless signal. As more of our guests now have smart phones, we have now installed a WiFi booster which has solved the problem.

We stayed at Fox Hill for the Olympics with our two small children and my sister & brother-in-law. It is a spacious third floor flat in a terrific location. It is walking distance from grocery store, pubs, restaurants, train station and Crystal Palace Park. It took us no time to get to London on the train, with regular trains departing to London Bridge & Victoria. Everything was provided in the flat and Vivienne & Stuart were so helpful, even collected a package for us! We even had room to keep our massive stroller at the bottom of the stairs.
