Holiday apartment in South London, self catering, short breaks and quotations for longer stays available. Built in 1854 for the East India Company, Havelock Hall off Havelock Road, is situated in a pleasant suburban area with an interesting local history.
The apartment offers you flexibility, convenience and comfort in a great location for whatever kind of holiday or visit you have in mind.
Many of our regular guests have family and friends in South London and the surrounding area and enjoy being close by, yet having the independence of their own home from home during their visit.
Fully equipped for self catering for up to 6 people it's an ideal option if you want accommodation to attend family reunions, weddings, and celebrations, Christmas, and events in and around London.
If you are moving to the area and looking for a longer stay or need accommodation between buying and selling your home or need a temporary home we can give quotations subject to availability.
We aim to be family friendly and provide high chair, travel cot, plastic mugs and beakers, books, games and cuddly toys!!
Walk to the top of the road and catch a tram or bus and in just 2 stops you are at East Croydon Station. From here you can be in Central London in 16 minutes with easy access and links to all of the main tourist attractions and shops. And trains run all night, great for the theatre, concerts, events and city nightlife!
Walk to the bottom of the road turn right and in 3 minutes you will be at the Addiscombe Village shops, and tram and bus stops. Easy for self - catering with a good range of local convenience shops, including Sainsburys local, the Co-op and Tescos metro, plus independent fishmonger, greengrocer, bakers, florist, and a variety of cafes, restaurants and takeaways. Nat West & Santander banks with cashpoints, traditional gentleman's barber, hairdressers, nail and beauty salons, dry cleaning and stationers are all close by.
For a breath of fresh air - you are within walking distance of Lloyd Park, close to Shirley Golf Club, and minutes from the local recreation ground.
By car you are well placed for days out exploring South East England: the seaside, country houses and places of special interest.

The rooms are graced with large arched windows offering tree and roof top views, lots of light, space and privacy.
The master bedroom with ensuite shower room is on the first floor.
As is the second flexible bedroom: which can be a generous single, a cosy twin, or pushed together kingsize but with limited space, - please specify which suits you best when booking.
The top floor is open plan providing a relaxing and spacious sitting and dining area for 6 with a fully fitted kitchen.
There is a separate family bathroom off the hallway.
The sofa opens easily into a full size double bed.
Good quality John Lewis bedding and towels are all provided.

"Fantastic location for airport/train/tram connections, lovely clean, well equipped apartment, quiet surrounded by trees"
I loved my stay here, the apartment is in small block, surrounded by trees. The access from Gatwick airport was an easy train ride away, and for buses, trains and trams it is fantastic. The apartment is well maintained, light, good kitchen equipment and has charactistic older style windows and some antique style furniture. The bed was comfortable, linen crisp and clean. It is a quiet place with the windows looking out onto backgardens where you will see nature and wildlife. there are shops, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance.

We stayed in Havelock Hall July 2013, Myself and Wife and 3 Kids 12 - 5, And cannot recommend highly enough, I have already recommended to family. We were made to feel welcome from the outset with care package on arrival and a somebody to meet us in the late pm to let us into the apartment. Located in a quiet street set back from the street within a quick walk to tram stops and local shops. ( Central London in 30 mins) the apartment is well appointed and catered well to our needs. I think this would suit most travelers ( Stairs to the apartment and stairs internally ) The apartment was clean and tidy and with free WiFi one very happy 12yr old. thank you Elizabeth

"Nice Apartment but need to provide more detail direction to find the place"
The apartment is in good size and very comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is they should give a more clear direction to go to the apartment (maybe a map to highlight the entrance), as this apartment is hiding behind couple houses from Havelock Road, I have no problem in finding the street but has wandering around for over 20 mins and knocked couple neighbour's doors to try to locate Havelock Hall, which is very frustrating. Other than that, the apartment is very nice and I took Bus X26 from Heathrow Airport to
East Croydon Station (1..5hrs) , from there , transfer to a tram or bus 198 or 194, for only 2 stops will lead you to the top of Havelock Road. East Croydon station is located in zone 5, so if you get a off peak travel card zone 1-6 (8.50GBP) , you can have unlimited travel after 9:30am including train, bus, underground, tram. The Travel card can be purchased at Heathrow airport from the ticket booth and usually I will pre-purchase the next day travel card at East Croydon while I back to the apartment at the end of the day. From East Croydon to Victoria, there is train departed every 12 mins but you might like to board on an express train which have only 2-3 stops and takes you 15 mins to go to Victoria Station.

"Everything we needed"
We were staying at Havelock Hall whilst attending a conference in Croydon. The flat was only 20 mins walk away from Croydon centre and from there we could grab a train to Victoria and London Bridge which only took 20-30mins depending on the root, so the location was perfect.
We were given a brief tour and left some milk, fruit and biscuits which was a nice touch given the time of night we ended up arriving.
The living area was spacious, big dining table, well equipped kitchen. Both bathrooms were very clean and showers worked well.
Also very quiet, it's in an area of Croydon that isnt to busy, but being a bit more hidden away we all found it very relaxing.
