This self-catering studio apartment is spacious and comfortable. It is very well situated for guests wishing to explore central London and its tourist attractions. The studio has its own fully equipped kitchen but it is not self-contained. There are 2 shared bathrooms each containing a shower unit. The studio has free WI-FI, a wall mounted TV, a fully equipped kitchen (including a washing machine). The apartment's comfort may particularly be appreciated after a hard day's shopping or a lively time out in London's West End! The apartment is on the first floor in a friendly family house. There are pubs and food shops nearby.
The railway station is a 7 minute walk from the apartment where fast trains (10 minutes) run frequently to London Bridge. The Jubilee underground line runs west from London Bridge to London's west end. The same line runs east to Stratford (for the Olympics). The apartment is a short train ride to central Croydon which is the largest shopping centre outside central London. Trains run all night from London Victoria and London Bridge to East Croydon railway station. It is a 10 minute taxi ride from East Croydon station to the apartment. This means you can enjoy the late nights of London's west end without worrying about getting home in the early hours of the morning. For public transport purposes the apartment is in Zone 4. Central London is in Zone 1.
The apartment is in a family house, and is not above a shop as described in the review. That review relates to another property which we no longer advertise. The family has three cats and so if you are allergic to cats or have a strong dislike of them then this property is not suitable for you. Although the cats are not allowed into the apartment you may encounter them on the stairs or on the landing. The apartment is strictly non-smoking.
The accommodation is comfortable and warm (centrally heated) and is excellent value for visitors wishing to benefit from London's vibrant night life, or London's commercial activities, at an affordable price. All utility bills and taxes are included in the rate. In short, we offer excellent value for money!
Please book if you want to benefit from Oxford Street's fantastic shopping, or from visits to the London Eye, Madame Tussauds, and the myriad museums and art galleries. There is plenty to keep you amused in this world class city, all at a very affordable price if you book with us..
Two language schools are situated nearby for guests who wish to learn or improve their English. Alternatively, the studio is convenient for those who have booked a course in central London.

There is street parking for which the Council charges. However, it is not necessary to use a car because the public transport links to central and other parts of London are excellent.

We are unable to accept bookings for hen and stag parties. The apartment is for residential use only.

The London region
South East England is a very lively corner of England and contains London, the capital city of the United Kingdom. London is a world class city, is massive, is diverse, is extremely lively and has something for tourists whatever their interests. London has a tremendous number of historical sites which include the Greenwich Maritime Village, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul's Cathedral, The Tower of London, and Westminster Abbey, to name just a few.
For a modern attraction there is the London Eye. This is two rail stops from Croydon East railway station (change at Clapham Junction for Waterloo East).
For music and theatre goers there is Covent Garden in London's West End which teems with life at night. The West End has innumerable restaurants serving cuisines from many countries.. China Town, near Leicester Square, is just around the corner.
For quiet interludes, South East England has some very pretty countryside; most notably in Surrey, Kent and Sussex.. These counties are extremely well served by East Croydon rail station. For fishing, canoeing or sailing there is nearby South Norwood Lake and Grounds - a large oasis of tranquility for those who wish to "get away from it all".

"Lovely flat, nice landlords"
On seeing this place from the outside, your impressions aren't great - a flat over a closed shop with whitewashed windows. But step inside and it's a whole different story! Lovely place. Great decor, awesome kitchen with all mod cons, flat-screen TV with cable, amazing bathroom, and, to top it all off, a nice roof terrace, ideal for a few friends and a bottle of wine. Very nice and accommodating landlords, free parking outside, a couple of decent takeaway food shops 5 minutes' walk away, and the bus into Croydon stops right over the road (this bus stops at East Croydon Station - a 5-minute ride - which will take you anywhere you might want to go).
Overall, highly recommended. We'll be staying there next time we're in town. :)
