This attractive, high specification two bed-roomed apartment is the ideal base for your holiday in Scarborough. This apartment is fully self-catering and has all the home comforts you would need, including sumptuous mattresses on all the beds, cosy period style fireplace, Sony PlayStation with variety of games, lovely modern bathroom newly installed with good power shower over the bath.

The kitchen is very well equipped with a good dining area for six people, washer and dishwasher installed with all modern appliances, all wool carpets, for that extra special feel of luxury during your stay, plenty of comfortable seating and large low profile bay window in the lounge with good view of the sea and delightful gardens.

There is a good lift to transport you down to the ground floor, and only a very short walk to all the south cliff amenities, and only 1 minute walk to the cliff lift, taking you down to the beach and Spa Complex. Parking is in a zoned area and scratch cards for free parking will be issued for the duration of your stay.

There are only about five steps up into the large period Edwardian terrace, and the lift is on the ground floor to take you to the second floor apartment which gives you the brilliant outlook from the front windows.

The Yorkshire region

Scarborough is the UK's first official holiday seaside resort, which is the largest on the Yorkshire dinosaur Coast, and is set in the beautiful north Yorkshire moors, from which you can tour around to all of the little villages and places of interest of which there are too many to list.

Only a few miles by car to Whitby in Goathland heartbeat country. Originally an early medieval settlement, and has the ruins of an 11th century Castle sitting on top of a very rocky headland, which is surrounded by the north and south bays of Scarborough.

The small resort of Filey only a short car journey away, and Bridlington about 18 miles down the coast. The city of York is a mere 40 miles away, with 'flamingo land' zoo and theme park which is very close to market town of Pickering which is only about 18 miles drive.

I could write lots more about this whole area with its outstanding natural beauty, but the best and most exiting way is to just come and explore for yourself. In all the years I have lived here the climate has never been too harsh in the winter, mild and sunny spring, and nice warm summers reaching up to 27c, which makes it an all year round experience, and has something to offer everyone from the very young to the old.

South Cliff

Scarborough is an absolutely beautiful place to choose a family holiday, originally a little fishing town which still has a lovely harbour which has been regenerated to a good standard including modern pontoons.

This area is known as the old town which is very popular for tourists with a good selection of bars, cafes, restaurants, amusements. The town is still growing with lots of well known high street shops, designer boutiques, and a good shopping mall ' The Brunwick Centre' with between 35-40 retail outlets, good if the weather changes.

The night-life is something else, quite funky and upbeat with a great selection of trendy bars, and nightclubs to dance the night away.

South cliff, which is the location of this property is a very grand area which is steeped in Victorian history with its beautiful architecture, and award winning 'Italian gardens', funicular cliff lift which takes you directly down to the beach (one minute walk from apartment) and Spa Complex which does a variety of events, famously including the popular open-air orchestral concerts, rock bands, and not forgetting the good old pantomime.

The town is only a ten minute stroll over the spa bridge, and not forgetting the original 'clock cafe' which overlooks the sea, there is an abundance of little pathways which wind down to the beach, and lots of seating to enjoy the wonderful views of the sea and south bay. South cliff has everything you need within a short walking distance, including two well known mini marts, hotel bars, restaurants, cafes, takeaways, night club etc, all located on the Ramshill shopping area.

"I must go down to the sea again ..."

We have just returned from our 4th stay in this flat and have already booked for next year to avoid disappointment. The flat is ideally located and we've had, as usual, a great holiday. It is well furnished and very comfortable and we really enjoy staying there. It was very clean when we arrived and everything was ready for us. The lift is a great bonus for getting luggage upstairs and was a benefit for my elderly mother who stayed as well. She used the downstairs bedroom that is attached to the flat so was able to have her own separate space. I guarantee you will have a great holiday if you stay here.

Thank you Norma for the lovely feedback again, its a pleasure to see you coming back each year, going to deffo get the broadband installed later this year ready for the new season, see you in June :)

"Very spacious apartment and very well equipped, spotlessly clean."

The apartment was lovely, very spacious and well equipped and in a perfect location. It was one of the cleanest we've ever been in to. However, there were some disappointments - I felt very hassled as to the time of our arrival and given that we were travelling from London on a very wet and windy day and the M1 was very slow, it was almost impossible to say what exact time we would arrive but that didn't seem to be appreciated. Also, there was not a grain of sugar, not a teabag, not a square of toliet paper which I found most disappointing. We do these type of lets on a regualr basis and I have never had to go out and buy toilet paper before we could use the bathroom! I did however leave some behind for the next guest which is the traditional thing to do!

Thank you for your review and pleased that you found our accommodation very clean & comfortable, I am sorry about having to contact you several times on an update of your ETA which is normal for us if you cant meet the usual time of 3pm and in the summer high season we nearly always offer the visitor the chance of getting in at 12 noon if they can arrive for that time, and the majority do and are highly delighted we can give that opportunity. In your case with the weather we did appreciate the roads may be slower but in all you were very late with your estimations and to save waiting around we always contact for updates, the late arrival is irrelevant as some who fly into the UK have come as late as Midnight so we are very flexible. I'm sorry about the toilet roll this was overlooked and as you did not complain we were non the wiser about this 'disappointment'. Overall we always try to please our guests and in earnest the previous excellent reviews shows this, and we will continue to provide our high standard of service and cleanliness on all our accommodation. "Exceeded Expectations"

I would absolutely recommend this flat as a very comfortable and well situated base to stay in Scarborough. It is ideally located; just a short walk from the Esplanade and the lift down to the Spa and the Clock Cafe. Also it is an easy walk into town, so you can avoid parking fees. The flat itself was very clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped; a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Particularly pleasing were the very comfortable beds and we enjoyed having T.V.s in every room. Couldn't fault it at all!

"Extremely comfortable, clean and warm."

The apartment was larger than we expected, plenty of room for a family, and was well equipped. Very clean, comfortable, and warm. It was in a good position, easy to walk down to the sea front, and very pleasant outlook. There is a small lift up to the apartment, so no need to take the stairs and we always managed to find a parking space along the street but not always just outside. We would like to stay here again when visiting Scarborough.

"Excellent apartment home from home"

Spent a week there with four adults and two young children very clean and well equipped .Did not want for anything even when the weather was bad the board games which are in the apartment made it fun.Close to shops and to the front lovely walks,all round one of the best places we have stayed at,Will be going back and have told family and friends that the could not do better.t The stay there made our weeks holiday even better as we were comfortable relaxed.Susan was great to deal with we booked on-line and all my questions were all answered and she made you feel like you were a friend not a customer.

"Excellent location, spotlessly clean, well furnished."

Ideal location, close to lift to south shore and an easy walk in to town. The apartment looked as if it had been freshly decorated and was beautifully clean. Very well equipped, lovely fitted kitchen. The lift was very useful for taking up luggage. Would certainly stay there again should we wish to be in Scarborough.

"Very comfortable accommodation close to Spa Centre"

The apartment met our needs very well whilst attending a 5 day conference at the Spa Centre. It is close to local amenities and has on-street parking space outside. It is well equipped and only lacked WiFi. With this addition it would be perfect.

"The best in scarborough"

A warm welcome was recived from Sue and Dave on our arrival. The flat was clean and had everything that was needed to make our holiday complete. Only a few mintues from the sea was great as we could walk there with the kids and the town centre a short walk as well. When the bathroom light bulb blew I rang Sue and she was very helpfull and got things sorted straight away with no hassle. A truly beautiful apartment and Sue and Dave were brillant.Will be going back time and time again and will recomened to anyone.

"Great location, very peaceful view near to beach, cliffs and walks."

I was lucky enough to stay here during a recent quick visit to Scarborough. The apartment is extremely well looked after and clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything needed for a family sized group. The shops, esplanade and beach are all within convenient walking distance so I could leave the car and wander off to the town or along the esplanade for spectacular views. I especially enjoyed sitting at the window overlooking the gardens in square and out to the sea, very relaxing and peaceful. I would definately recommend this flat for a Scarborough holiday.

"This is the best holiday flat in Scarborough!"

2011 was our second stay in this lovely flat and we have already booked for summer 2012! The flat is perfectly located for the Spa, the beach and a walk into the town. Everything in the flat is spotlessly clean and new. The lift is very handy for my mother and all our luggage. I would most definitely recommend staying here to all fans of Scarborough!
