Heron Lodge is very conveniently placed, just seconds off the 'Spine Road' that runs through the Cotswold Water Park and only a minute or two from the A419 which will take you to the M4 in around 20 minutes.
The lodge itself is fantastic. It is spacious, clean, well-equipped and furnished to a high standard. The house has a lovely, large terrace/balcony that hangs over the water with direct access from the main living area - we used this a great deal during our stay. The living area itself is brilliant - an open plan, lounge/dining/kitchen area that allows for a nice and relaxed communal atmosphere. The rooms are all en-suite and are again, well furnished. Overall, the house is very much set up for a family/group of friends to spend a relaxing time together in a comfortable environment.
The communication prior and following our stay was excellent and the whole process from the returning of the deposits to the instructions on arrival was faultless.
The only criticism I would have is that the wifi does not come included. To arrange this there is a £50 deposit for the router and it is £25 for 3gb of data or £15 for 1gb which we felt was quite expensive considering this could be used fairly quickly.
Overall, a fantastic property that I feel was great value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone else in the future. In fact, I am positive we will visit again.

"Wonderful holiday experience in the perfect location"
A wonderful holiday home which contributed to the perfect stay. Perfectly located in the heart of the Cotswolds, the house came with all the creature comforts in a very modern contemporary environment. The facilities, furnishings and decor was impeccable and the views quite breathtaking. Highly recommended to any traveler. Not a single negative to really pick on. Even the Landlord went out of his way to help and make our stay all the more enjoyable.

"Excellent stay in the Cotswolds"
This is a great house, 3 great sized rooms with 3bathrooms. Great open plan living area. Kitchen is a good size, with most utensils you could need.
Location is great. We went out on some great walks, went canoeing on the lake close by. Only used the car to drive to some restaurants we had booked.
I will definitely be going back again. Great trip away at a beautiful house.

"A perfect dog friendly property in a wonderful location!"
Heron Lodge provided us with a fantastic week away. The property was spotless and extremely well equipped. The ground floor bedroom and modern wet room were ideal for me, as I am wheelchair bound. The decking outside the property was a perfect place to enjoy an evening glass of wine, while watching the swans, grebes, coots and family of ducks and ducklings.
We have visited the area a number of times, and think it is a great place for everyone. There are lots of activities for families, and plenty of places to walk and cycle. The Boathouse Pub allows dogs in the seating area outside, and serves very good pub food. Alternatively, the view from the property means it is a perfect place to just sit back and relax.
All in all a fantastic holiday. We are already planning our next visit!

"Brilliant vacation at Heron Lodge"
We had a lovely stay at Heron Lodge over the Easter Break. The property is incredibly beautiful, comfortable and most importantly very clean. There are three bedrooms, all with ensuite shower/bathrooms and an additional cloakroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, plates and even placemats ! The only shortcoming was that wifi was a bit weak in that location (the house itself does not have broadband), but we managed to make things work with our dongle. In any case there was plenty to do, so we did not miss the internet very much. The house overlooks a lake and you often see herons, swans coming up to the house patio. There are large grounds next to the house for play with children. The location itself is fantastic, there are watersport activities nearby and many of the Cotswold historic villages are a short driver away. We visited Burton-on-Water and Cirencester market town (which also has a lovely museum). All in all, I would definitely recommend Heron Lodge. We will hopefully go back again.

"Excellent, contemporary Lodge"
My friends and I were looking for somewhere to stay over the New year as we'd grown tired of heading in to town and ending up having a disappointing night.
From the moment we arrived at Heron Lodge we were impressed. The Development is clearly quite new and everything looked just like in the photos. Upon entering the Lodge we were impressed by the open plan layout, clean lines and over all airiness of the property. The bedrooms were just as impressive as the main living areas and the kitchen came stocked with everything you could need to prepare a good meal - much more than I've had in other places I've stayed.
The lounge overlooking the lake was fantastic and we had Swans and Ducks coming up to the decking outside to be fed.
We also visited the nearby Pub 'The Old Boathouse' for dinner which was able to provide a very nice meal.
Overall I can't recommend Heron Lodge enough. The only thing that was missing was wi-fi. We were told by the holiday company who manage the site that we could hire a router for a daily charge but chose not to as this was a little pricey.

We stayed at Heron Lodge for our daughter's wedding, the accommodation far exceeded our expectation. The size and quality of all the rooms and fitments was amazing. The location was "to die for", it was perfect for our requirements. We had family over during the period we were there and they were in awe of the house. Our daughter and son in law whose wedding we attended on the Thursday stayed with us on the Friday night and brought an inflatable mattress which they moved out onto the decking to see the sunrise over the lake - just perfect. Will use again for our next daughter's wedding!!!

"A perfect getaway"
A huge thank you for a wonderful weekend. The house was beautifully presented and situated in the perfect position on the lake. We enjoyed a 3 night stay in the lodge. A member of our party is wheelchair bound, we found the accommodation spacious and easy to use. The setting was very relaxing. The house is beautiful and contains all mod cons. We enjoyed the shopping in Cirencester and a perfect day out in Bourton on the Water. The deposit was returned promptly on our return. Communication with the owner was efficient. If you are looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings then I would highly recommend this property.
