Home description
Relaxing, restful stay in fully equipped mobile home on 4 star site with everything you need for adults and children alike. The mobile homes are discreetly placed amongst pine trees with cycle paths that take you further in to the forest or to the beach (Bikes available for hire on-site).
There are static BBQ's on-site, the nearest being just across the path from your mobile home! The pool is covered and heated, there are tennis courts, table tennis tables, mini golf and much more all on-site.
Opposite the site is a big lake surrounded by forest with picnic tables and games for the children. Pedalos and miniature eclectic boats are for hire.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Landes region
The climate is good with lots of sun, and it can get very hot. The area is surrounded by pine forests which provide welcome shade and make for lovely refreshing walks and bike rides. Village life is very active in Soustons (2km from site) and centres on ancient traditions such as stilt dancing and all things concerning bulls! This can be the traditional 'Corridas' genuine bull fights or 'Courses Landaises' - competitions using cows(with horns!), whereby the 'Torero' (Bull fighter) must dodge out of the way of the charging cow or jump over it. In these events the cow is not killed. There are also games involving the cows for those who fancy a bit of danger!
For those who like the beach - the dunes and the beaches are endless. Hossegor, the surfing capital of France is 15mins drive. Nearby towns include Dax (25km) spa centre of France and Biarritz (45km) with all its stars! The Spanish border is just the other side of Biarritz and the nearest mountains are 1 1/2 hours drive, making for an area of extreme variety.
Soustons area
There are activities for all ages and interests both on-site and nearby. Apart from the facilities already mentioned on-site, there is also a bar/ restaurant/ takeaway and 'We sell everything' shop Activities for children include the normal swings and slide as well as an organised 'kids club' . For those who don't want to leave the site in the evening, there are entertainments such as cabarets etc.
Outside the site there is a lake opposite where you can hire pedalos and mini electric boats. A bit further round the same lake there is windsurfing, canoeing/kayaking, as well as a restaurant with a beautiful lake view. If you approach the beach (7km from site) there is a salt water lake with more windsurfing and boat hire amongst other activities. There is also a selection of cafes/restaurants and small boutiques which overlook the lake. For the golfers amongst you - the course has one hole in the lake!
The nearest beach is just 6 minutes drive and is plenty large enough for everybody , including those who want to fish - but watch out for the waves! Other activities within easy reach including horse-riding, archery, karting, a leisure park with bungee jumping, quads and paintball and 'Accrobranche' adventures in the trees! Just a bit further afield is a monkey park, a wildlife park, a vivarium and an aquarium. For those less active, the site has internet and wifi access and there are lots of local fetes and festivals where all you have to do is watch!
How to get there
The best aiport to arrive at is Biarritz - Soustons. It is a 45 minute drive away from the property.
Easyjey does flights from Gatwick and Ryanair from Stansted.
Other airports that are close are: Bordeaux - 90 mins Lourdes - 90 mins Pau - 75 mins
Car Hire is available from all the airports but if you require I can collect you (charged by the km) or arrange car hire.

On entering you have a comfortable sitting room with the kitchen occupying one corner.
There are two bedrooms - 1 double & 1 with twin beds, which has storage space above the beds or the possibility for a small child to sleep.

Further details outdoors: There is space for one car next to the mobile home and additional parking at the entrance to the site. You have a large decking terrace which is partly shaded it contains a large garden table and 6 chairs. Although there is no garden as such, there is a border of pretty bushes which add character.

English owner who speaks fluent French and lives 25km away. Available (possible fees) for help/ advice on any aspect of French life. Including chauffeur, sight-seeing etc.
Smokers welcome but please refrain from smoking inside the mobile home
Conditions
50% of the total booking price is due on return of the booking form. The balance should be paid on arrival. A refundable breakages deposit of 500 euro is required on return of the booking form or on arrival.
