Welcome to La Fleur des Piton, a romantic and luxurious villa with world renowned views located in Soufriere which is the third town of St. Lucia. It is a one and a half hour drive from Castries / George Charles Airport and a 45 minute drive from Hewanorra Airport. Soufriere boasts the drive-in volcano, the health-giving mineral baths, and the scenic Pitons which are situated in a designated World Heritage site. Jalousie Hotel is situated nearby and there are various water sports activities available on this beach. There are varied restaurants in this area; from quaint local bistros to gourmet restaurants situated in the nearby hotels, such as the Dashene Restaurant in the next door door Ladera Hotel.
La Fleur des Pitons is a 4,200 sq. ft. “plantation” style home nestled on a breath-taking site on the high ridge ( 1000 ft.) between the Pitons of St. Lucia. The house enjoys not only a unique view of both Pitons and the Caribbean Sea, but also it benefits from the cooling Tradewind sea breezes.
Completed in January 2007, the house and its adjacent cottage, La Petite Fleur, enjoy every amenity.
The home has a 30ft by 30ft. Great Room surrounded on three sides with tall louvred doors, each opening onto a 10ft. covered verandah with sweeping views. The Great Room is ideal for relaxing and dining ( table seats 10) with its high vaulted wood ceilings, Bose speakers in each corner and attractive, locally made furniture.
The South verandah faces a 30ft long stone waterfall – the views and sounds can be enjoyed both inside and outside.
Outside the West verandah is a 40ft. by 12ft. infinity pool which gives the illusion of spilling down the hillside, emphasizing the 1000ft. drop to the Caribbean Sea below. One end of the pool deck is an alfresco dining area: the other end is a sun deck fully equipped with chaises for sun lovers. A shower / bathroom is situated off the pool area.
Attached to the Great Room is an open plan kitchen with a 12ft. tile topped breakfast bar with stools for casual dining. The kitchen is fully equipped modern appliances including a side by side refrigerator with ice maker, stove, dishwasher, microwave and an electric coffee maker.
There is a telephone and internet access point located just off the bar area.
The main house has two spacious bedrooms with high vaulted ceilings and its own balcony – one is situated on the ground floor and one upstairs. Each bedroom has a king size, four poster bed with a walk in closet, a safe, a wet bar with small refrigerator and electric kettle, ensuite bathroom and a comfortable seating area with a desk and internet service and telephone.
You can enjoy your morning coffee seated on the bedroom balcony with the backdrop of the Pitons.
La Petite Fleur
A separate guest cottage, 740 sq.ft., set in its own grounds completes this property. This cottage can be rented with the main house or as a stand alone property. The cottage has a large studio room with a queen size, four poster bed, sitting area and a fully equipped kitchenette with an electric coffee maker and a toaster oven. The unusual bathroom has a private outdoor shower area, plus a walk in closet and safe.

The Soufriere Quarter region
The first thing visitors to St. Lucia will notice is how exotically green it is. The 238-square-mile island is dotted by protected parklands that preserve its lush foliage, which serves as home to parrots, wild birds and a range of four-legged critters that would rather avoid human contact.
Topographically speaking, St. Lucia resembles nearby Dominica in its mountainous, volcanic appearance. In fact, its two most widely known landmarks are Les Pitons, twin mountain peaks that drop dramatically to the water's edge near Anse des Pitons on the island's west coast. The site is beautiful and alluring.
The island has been occupied by a number of European invaders, but the influence of the French is still most deeply felt today, in the names of its cities, towns and bays, in the architecture still evident today and in the French-inflected patois spoken by islanders here. English, however, is spoken at all in island restaurants.
One of the island's main attractions is the Sulphur Springs Volcano, where visitors can get up close to bubbling pools of lava and steaming sulfurous spouts. Another popular site is Diamond Waterfall and Mineral Baths, where visitors can splash in the sulphur-infused waters or take pictures of the lovely falls. Nearly every type of water sport -- water skiing, snorkeling, windsurfing and the like -- is offered here. Diving is a very popular pastime for visitors, and the west coast is most commonly the choice because of its calmer waters.
Nature lovers, divers and those who want to experience an exotic Caribbean island with still many of the modern conveniences of home will find St. Lucia to far exceed their expectations.
