Home description
With its spacious rooms, covered terraces and tranquil garden, Villa Flora is a beautiful place to unwind. For a quiet snooze, there is a hammock beside the lavender terrace. And a charming gazebo overlooks the pool, an ideal spot for children to sit in the shade, or perfectly placed to watch the sun go down before lighting the barbecue.
For the more active, there is golf and horse-riding on the resort, or sailing nearby from Sotogrande beach. In the area, there are many good restaurants — either within 400m or a short drive away. In fact, nothing is far away, and that adds greatly to the charm of this part of Andalucia: it is incredibly relaxing.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The San Roque Club is situated in the majestic foothills of the Sierra Bermeja and offers the peaceful and languorous beauty associated with Andalucian culture and elegance. These qualities are reflected in the clubhouse and in the hotel buildings complex that is built around a beautiful old sherry bodega.
Inland lie the ancient towns of Castellar, Jimena & Ronda, whilst to the south is the majestic Rock of Gibraltar which, with its unusual cultural and historical heritage, offers a duty-free haven for shoppers, and fascinating day trips watching dolphins, observing the apes or visiting St Michael’s Caves. 40 minutes to the west is the long, sandy beach of Tarifa, a mecca for wind and kite surfers alike.
Sotogrande / San Roque Club Resort area
The San Roque Club comprises two championship golf courses which — home in 2005 to the Spanish Open, and to the annual European PGA Tour final qualifying school — offer challenging golf for amateurs of all handicaps. Fast greens and daredevil drives are eclipsed only by the panoramic views of distant mountains, the sea, a deep gorge, or the area’s spectacular forest of ancient cork oak trees which are the very symbol of the club itself. The Par-72 Old Course, designed by Dave Thomas, is a tight, testing challenge in amongst mature trees and stealthily placed water features. The New Course, opened by Seve Ballesteros in 2003, offers wider fairways but more demanding greens.
Within a quarter hour drive, there are five more golf courses and the beaches of Alcaidesa or Sotogrande with its international, Hobie catamaran sailing school. Beaches are within a few miles, ranging from small coves to broad stretches with panoramic views of Gibraltar to the west, or Estepona to the east.
Restaurants and bars are a five minute walk away, ranging from local Spanish / Mediterranean cuisine to the resort's celebrated Japanese restaurant. Then, in the nearby village of Pueblo Nuevo, there is an excellent Argentinian restaurant, whilst the coastal towns of Torreguardiaro, Sotogrande and La Linea have a choice of seafood restaurants. Sotogrande offers bars, clubs and restaurants as do Marbella (45 minutes away) and Puerto Banus (30 minutes).
Opposite the villa is an Equestrian Centre, now the base for a number of topflight polo ponies and international dressage horses. It also provides lessons for beginner's, adult and child alike, and local hacks for more experienced riders.
The well-stocked Supercor supermarket is ten minutes away on the outskirts of Pueblo Nuevo. There are many retail outlets in nearby Estepona, Puerto Duquesa or Puerto Banus.
