The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The climate on Costa Del Sol is warm and sunny for most of the year and is suitable for both summer and winter holidays.Spring and Autumn is particularly pleasant for golfers.
The area has plenty to see and do. Sotogrande marina wiith it's many bars and restaurants is a 5 minute drive away., Gibraltar, with it's excellent duty free shopping and many historical sights is 15 minutes away. The lively Port Duquesa, well worth a vist in the evening with it'smany lively bars restaurants and street entertainers, is 10 minutes away. Estepona, Marbella & Pueto Banus are all within 30 minutes drive. Skiing at Sierra Nevada is approximately 2 hours away. Just beyond Gibraltar lies the resort of Tarifa, world famous for it's watersports..
Alternatively, why not take a day trip on the ferry to explore North Africa.
Other day trip 'must see's' include Jerez, Seville, Malaga and Granada.
There are regular markets at San Roque village and Sotgrande Marina.
There is a large Carrefour hypermarket approximately 10 minutes drive avway.
Sotogrande / San Roque Golf Club area
The San Roque Club is an exclusive yet relaxed gated development. A short drive away are many shops, bars, restaurants, banks, casino and supermarkets. Car recommended. There are 3 Restaurants at the clubhouse with evening entertainment provided on many evenings during high season.
Amongst it's many amenities are San Roque old & new golf courses, Tennis, Equestrian centre and several swimming pools and two luxury hotels
There are several other golf courses within a 15 minute drive include, Almenara, Alcaidesa, Sotogrande, Le Canada, La Reserva and the world famous Valderrama.
Sotogrande is also home to one of Europes most exclusive Polo centres.
