Home description

Casa Verano is a comfortable and relaxing, modern three bedroom terrace house to be found in the small, typically Spanish town of Pueblo Nuevo De Guadiaro off the N340 main coastal route from Malaga to Cadiz.
The property comprises of three spacious bedrooms, one double and two twins, plus two fully fitted bathrooms with bath and shower, kitchen, lounge and dining area. There is an enclosed front garden with table and chairs for al fresco dining and a private court yard utility area. In the high season there is a communal pool with showers, changing room and grassed area for sunbathing. Whether you go sight seeing, play sports or spend time on the beach you can relax afterwards and gather your thoughts ready for the next day. There is plenty of on-street parking in and around Calle Mar Adriatico.

The town is blessed with some traditionally Spanish restaurants as well as a wide variety of other restaurants, many within easy walking distance from the property. The area has some excellent beaches and is also a golfers haven with some of Spain's internationally renouned courses including San Roque, Sotogrande and Valderrama just a few minutes away. Other local courses suiting players of all ability include Club La Canada, Alcaidesa Links and Almenara. Shopping is also in abundance with the centres of Gibraltar, Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona within easy reach.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Pueblo Nuevo De Guadiaro, near Sotogrande with its marina, is on the coastal border of the Andalucia regions of Costa Del Sol and Cadiz.

As a National Park the area surrounding Guadiaro has more lush green scenery than some areas as well as superb sandy beaches with clear blue seas. All of this adds to its diversity of activities ranging from sports such as horse riding, cycling, windsurfing and of course golf. If you like visiting historical towns you have the beautiful old town of Ronda in the mountains and the stunning white towns of Casaras and Jimena De La Frontera which has its very own Moorish castle ruin.


Sotogrande / Pueblo Nuevo De Guadiaro area

Whether you are looking for an active or relaxing holiday this is the place for you. The area has at least five Golf courses within 15 to 20 minutes drive away and the 18 hole course of Club La Canada with its own driving range is only two minutes drive from the house.

The nearest local beach of Torreguadiaro is only a five to ten minute drive and there are many other beaches locally. Within half an hour or so you can be at Tarifa beach on the Straights Of Gibraltar with its fabulous conditions for watersports including windsurfing and kiting.

For great shopping there is Puerto Banus, Marbella with its Saturday market, Estepona and Manilva with its Sunday market. For tax-free shopping Gibraltar is only twenty minutes away (passports required). If you are feeling more adventurous then you can take a day trip to Tangiers in Morrocco by catching the ferry from Algeciras (again passports required).

After a busy day relax at one of the local restaurants - they all serve good food, a good house red and many are just a short walk from the house. Chose from a variety of typically Spanish restaurants or Argentinian Grills, Italian, Sushi, Indian and Chinese with some offering take away service. You can even arrange a take-away Paella and/or roasted chicken for a traditional Sunday lunch at home.

Guadiaro has a number of local, national and international supermarkets including SuperCor with its well stocked fish, meat, and deli counters as well as good wine and beer sections plus all your other essentials. The town also has a good selection of banks, cafe bars and local shops for meat, groceries and general provisions including international newspapers.

Gibraltar Airport is 20 minutes drive but some people prefer Malaga International Airport which is approximately one hour.

There are many local and international car rental companies at both airports and locally in Guadiaro. The nearest train station is Algeciras.

To secure a booking a non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total rental fee (minimum GBP £150) is required.

Final balance due eight weeks before rental start date.

A refundable security deposit equal to GBP £200 is payable with the final balance.

Payments can be accepted by cheque in GBP or by bank transfer in Euro or GBP.

Property must be vacated by 10.00 AM on the day of departure or by such other time as agreed in advance with the owner at the time of booking.

Property will normally be available from 3.00 PM on the day of arrival.

Security deposit to be refunded within 28 days of rental end date, subject to satisfactory property inspection and safe return of keys.

* House situated in proper a Spanish town, not a Little England enclave (good!). Many nice restaurants within walking distance but house well equipped for self-catering and supermarkets etc nearby. Super location for golf with many good but affordable courses within easy drive (particularly recommend Almenara). Mr.Foster, Kent.
