The San Roque Club is just inland from an undeveloped stretch of coastline and close to the Sierra Bermeja. Within ten minutes drive you are in an area of outstanding natural beauty without development and with many walks for birdwatching and natural history interest plus many old villages and towns. Another short drive to Gibraltar with all its history and the famous Rock plus duty free shopping. Within an hour's drive to Jerez famous for its sherry production and the Andalusian horses and along the coast to Tarifa with its wonderful white sand beach famous for watersports. Going east towards Estepona, Puerto Banus and Marbella famous for shopping and nightlife.
Sotogrande / San Roque Club Resort area
Beaches - closest at Sotogrande and Alcadiesa with all beach facilities and watersports. Further afield for the windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts head for Tarifa with its wonderful expanse of white sand. Golf - Two 18-hole championship courses on site. Also nearby there are many other wonderful courses including Valderrama and Sotogrande. Need to sort out your swing, San Roque Club has its own academy and driving range with teachers from the Leadbetter academy at La Cala. Walking - Head inland to many natural parks all with marked trails. Birdwatching is superb particularly in spring and autumn when migrating flocks use the area to jump off across the straits of Gibraltar. Shopping - Duty free bargains from Gibraltar (approx. 20 minutes by car) Stylish designs from Puerto Banus and Marbella (approx. 30-35 minutes by car) History - Old villages and castles inland particularly Casares, Ronda (day trips by steam train to Ronda from nearby San Roque town) Jimena, Jerez, Arcos and Castellar. Horse riding - There is a stables on site along the road from the villa with lessons for all standards plus hacks around the area. Further details indoors: Entrance through a covered porch and double entrance doors to hallway. Double doors through to Living/Dining Room with dining table and chairs and three sofas. Wall mounted flat screen TV with full Sky package and DVD/CD player. Also on the ground floor is a large luxury kitchen with all amenities with dining table plus a bedroom with 2 single beds and a shower room with toilet. Wireless internet access is in this bedroom. A utility room is off the kitchen. Staircase to first floor leads to master bedroom with dressing area, en suite bathroom with bath and separate shower, king sized bed with double patio windows onto very large terrace overlooking the garden, pool, golf course and surrounding hills. On the same floor is the second bedroom again with king sized bed, en suite bathroom with shower over and private terrace overlooking the golf course. Third bedroom with 2 single beds and en suite shower room. Further staircase to double width roof terrace with spectacular views over golf course and countryside. Suitable for children and babies with cot, highchair, stairgate and children's crockery and cutlery. Pool has shallow end and moulded steps for easy access but children should be supervised at all times.
Further details outdoors: From the living room there is access to a large covered terrace with dining tables and outdoor sofas and chairs. The private swimming pool is in the rear garden and can be heated in off season. It is 8.5m x 4m and has moulded steps all along one width into the shallow end and slowly deepens to a maximum of 1.8m at the deepest end. There are plenty of sun loungers either in the garden or on the terraces. In the south facing private garden is a traditional Andalusian charcoal barbecue for guests use. New feature - artificial putting green! Private front garden with covered and uncovered parking and side entrance to garden and house.

Changeover day is flexible. Price includes all cleaning, bedlinen (changed weekly), towels (changed twice weekly), pool cleaning and heating of pool during spring and autumn if necessary. Services of English speaking manager available Groceries can be put in house for arrival if needed
