Jungla Del Loro is situated in Sotograndes beautiful marina and faces south overlooking the sailing club and distant coastline, with magnificent sea views towards Gibraltar. We are on the island section of the apartments with surrounded by the gentle canals of the marina

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Sotogrande is a vast, private, luxury residential gated development or "reserve" 20 minutes from Gibraltar and 40 minutes from Puerto Banus and Marbella. Although residential it has all the facilities you may want on your doorstep along with oudles of peace and quiet!
Activites:There is tennis, paddle tennis, swimming, 3 beaches, walks, bird watching, spa and gym (at The Almenara Hotel), international polo, fishing and sailing. Additionally in the summer months of July and August there are additional activites of boat trips, outdoor cinema, concerts, beach parties (Torreguardiaro beach) and local fun fairs.
Lovely restaurants: Of various cusine can be found in the old port (5 minutes car / 15 minutes walk, Galleria Pani Agua (10 minutes car and Pueblo Nuevo (12 minutes car). There is no night club in Sotogrande but bars and restaurants stay openen much later in Spain. (Clubs can be driven to if you feel a deperate need!).
Shopping: There are a small selection of boutiques, boat supplies, haagen daaz and a small supermarket in the old port along with banks, cashpoints a and post office. The nearby Galleria Pani Agua has pharmacy, dvd/video rental and bike hire. Pueblo Nuevo is a more traditional Spanish village with a different shopping and eating feel. The main supermarket is SuperCor (Spain's answer to Waitrose!) and is a 10 minute drive from our apartment. Here you will find the solution to your every eating or drinking need!
Although Sotogrande caters to predominently Spanish residents, there are a number of British residents and tourists and English is widely understood.
Sotogrande / Sotogrande Marina area
Sotogrande not only offers an ideal family holiday but also caters for those more active golfing holidays. The apartment is situated in the premier golfing location in Spain. Swimming, tennis, cycling, horse riding, polo, wind-surfing, water skiing, fishing and sailing are also all available locally and there is snow skiing in Spain’s premier resort of the Sierra Nevada only four hours drive away. Although all of the facilites are found within clustered centres within Sotogrande, the area itself is beautiful and huge, worth taking the uphill 20 minute drive from the old port up to The Almenara Hotel at the furthest point for coffee and a fabulous view over golf, countryside and sea.
How to get there
Most direct flight is from either Luton / Gatwick on Monarch / BA / Easy Jet into Gibraltar (a 15 minute drive to Sotogrande) On arrival at Gibraltar is simplest to then take the 5 minute walk over the border control into Spain to La Linea (we recommend luggage with wheels as trolleys cannot be taken across!) and collect your hire car on the Spanish side. This will save a traffic queue. We recommend AurigaCrown car hire (www.aurigacrowncarhire.com/car_hire/)
Alternatively for cheaper flights you can fly to Malaga or Jerez, both about 1 hr by car to Sotogrande

Further details indoors: This bright luxury apartment with communal private gardens and pool has been built to the highest specification and is beautifully furnished to sleep four.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the spacious lounge/dining room has patio doors onto a south facing terrace. The master double bedroom has a marble en-suite and the twin bedroom also has a private bathroom. The property enjoys views of the marina from the bedrooms and a spectacular sea view over the marina, towards Gibraltar from the patio.
Further details outdoors: Our apartment is situated on the island part of the development and therefore is surrounded by the beautiful and peaceful canals of the Marina. A lazy day can be spent by the pool watching the water go by or slip across to the yacht club for a cocktail and watch the sun go down.
If you are feelign more energetic then padel tennis, tennis and Sotogrande beach and sailing club are available a 5 minute walk away. Any of 5 golf courses are within a 5-10 minute drive.
