Holiday apartment set in a magnificent, historical, private-owned villa, situated only 7 minutes walking distance from the village centre (Sant'Agata sui due Golfi). The apartment has its own private terrace/solarium where you can spend your days relaxing, having a glass of wine and reading.
Around the villa there is a garden with olive trees, vineyard, fruit trees and private parking. In this villa you’ll get a glimpse of what it does like to live in the Italian countryside. At the end of the week, you’ll be saying hello (ciao!) to familiar faces in town.
Its panoramic position with sea view makes it the ideal place to stay for those who enjoy nature and relax and it is possible to have wonderful walks along the charming peninsula's landscape as: Crapolla, Baia di Ieranto, Cala di Mitigliano, Punta Campanella, Marina del Cantone and Recommone. You can also make daily excursions to Naples, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Pompei, Ercolano, Capri and Ischia.

The Campania region
This region is the most popular holiday destination in the south of Italy. Vesuvius, Pompei, Ercolano, enchanting scenery in Ischia, the famous blue grotto in Capri, monuments from the Greek-Roman era, and architectural works of art attract thousands of visitors every year to this region. The volcanic island of Ischia is famous for the beauty of its natural sites, for its rich vegetation as well as its hot and radioactive sources. Sorrento is one of the best known resorts in Italy, situated on a tract of coastline of unrivalled beauty, on the northern slope of the Sorrentine Peninsula, in a sheltered spot, surrounded by luxuriant hills where vines, olives and above all high quality citrus fruits are grown. The site of patrician villas during Roman times, it has been a highly prestigious retreat since 700. Sorrento has been nicknamed “La Gentile” because of the gentleness of its climate, the refinement of its streets and gardens and of the friendliness of its inhabitants.
Massa Lubrense area
The villa is located in Sant'Agata dei Due Golfi, on the ridge that separates the gulf of Naples from the gulf of Salerno. Sant'Agata is famous for the spectacular landscapes that embrace both Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius on one side, and the coast of Amalfi on the other side.
It is also well known for its fresh and clean air, the many different kinds of fruit that are grown on its hills, the good wine and the excellent olive oil. Around Sant'Agata you will also find the best restaurants of the Sorrentine Peninsula.
Sant’Agata sui due Golfi is a paradise for all trekking enthusiasts. Right on the promontory which divides the coast of Amalfi from that of Sorrento, you see signs and maps of trails which unravel amidst breathtaking scenery over the mountains and the sea.
Only three km (about 1.9 miles) away from the villa is Marina di Crapolla, reached through a trail consisting of a thousand steps. It is said that the Peter, the Apostle, during his trip to Rome, disembarked in the fjord of Crapolla and ascended through such trail in order to proceed towards his destination.
If you want, you can join excursions and guided tours through this trail and others in the area. The most famous path runs along the coast between Amalfi and Positano from up above, and due to its extraordinary beauty, the trail is called “Sentiero degli Dei” (Path of the Gods).
How to get there
From Naples by car: Who comes here by car, should follow the motorway A3 Napoli/Salerno until the exit of Castellamare di Stabia and the directions Penisola Sorrentina. At Meta di Sorrento it's necessary to follow sign posts for Positano and, after 6 km, turn right to Sant'Agata sui due Golfi.
From Naples by train: Circumvesuviana direction Sorrento which is the last stop. Outside the train station there is the bus stop "SITA company" for Sant'Agata sui due Golfi.

We absolutely loved the Villa. It was in a perfect location to be able to see the sights in the surrounding areas and then come back in the evening to peace and quiet in a lovely small village. All of the people living there were overwhelmingly friendly and the owner and her family were extremely accommodating. The whole experience was very different from the International Hotel in Rome and Boutique Hotels which we put up in Venice. It was indeed very relaxing, i.e. far from the maddening crowd but yet accessible to the city of Sorrento via bus from Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, which was the springboard for our tour of the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii. We really did enjoy a superb stay in this apartment! What we liked very much was the comfortable apartment with the nice terrace and the magnificient view. I love what you have done to the place, lovely curtains, beautiful/romantic bed... everything just in the style of the house. You worked quite some time for this, but you knew how to create a little paradise. Amazing to open the doors in the morning and greating the peaceful, relaxing surrondings.
