The Campania region

Campania is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy and in the world, rich in art, culture and natural beauty.

In Campania there are unique places in the world, such as the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the Amalfi Coast with its location overlooking the sea, the ancient city of Naples, rich in history and monuments, the sites of volcanic Mount Vesuvius and the "campi flegrei " ("volcanic fields"), the untouched areas of the Cilento (south of Salerno).

The best times to visit the Campania are spring and autumn, but the region has a mild climate throughout the year, thanks to the influence of the sea, and you can often have wonderful days in winter and cool in summer days.

Sorrento Coast - Vico Equense

Amalfi Coast is known all around the world for its natural beauty, archaeological and artistic sites.

The area is a mix of beautiful places to visit: Amalfi, Sorrento , Positano , Ravello , the archaeological excavations of Pompeii, just to mention the most famous names.

But from Vico Equense you can easily reach all places of the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts in a short time. Vico Equense is also well connected with Naples and the islands of Capri and Ischia.

For those who love hiking , we recommend visiting the "Path of the Gods" ("Sentiero degli dei"), which starts from the hill village of Agerola and allows you to enjoy a unique view of the Amalfi Coast, the whole peninsula of Sorrento , reaching down to the sea at the end.

The Amalfi Coast is also very popular for its culinary tradition: delicious cakes and liqueurs flavored with lemons, the tasty "pizza by meter" , cheeses and artisanal charcuterie. Here you can enjoy the best of Italian cuisine from the sea and the mountain, enriched with all the traditional and local flavors.

"A perfect family villa in the Bay of Naples"

I can't recommend Villa Iole enough: quite simply it's perfect. The villa is located on the edge of a wooded valley that makes up the south-western side of the Vico Equense peninsular. The u… More

"Beautiful villa, friendly host"

All the reviews I read about Villa Iole were very positive, and the property lived up to its reputation! The host, Peppe, was very friendly and happy to show us around the beautiful town of Vico Equense. The villa is comfortable, homey, and the view from the back porch is unbelievable. In the words of one of my traveling companions, "This view alone would justify renting this villa." And it would, but even without the view it would have been a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

"A very nice holiday"

A beautiful home in a breathtaking panorama. The views from the villa are just enchanting, expecially at sunset.
Vico Equense is a nice town, with a lot of things to do. Very well located for excursions to the Amalfi and Sorrento Coast: we took full day trips to Pompei, Sorrento, Amalfi, and also Naples and Capri. Bus, train and public transportation works fine and it's not too hard to go almost everywhere. Well, having a car is not a bad idea, anyway. The house is not very near the beachs, there is a bit of a walk, but well worth it.... The house is a good choice for all kind of groups, family with children, friends, couples. I would and have recommended this rental to friends and family.
