Il Melograno is a solid townhouse, built last century of local tufacea bricks, on a site marked once by a pomegranate tree. It has been skilfully renovated to high standards, retaining its original character and the works were completed in June 2001. Built on two levels, is ideal for two couples or a family with teenagers; Its position is ideal for those who are not driving: a few steps to the piazza, with all shops, bus stop and two very good restaurants; 300 m walk to a swimming pool, easy access to bus service to beach and other destinations of the Peninsula.

The Campania region
The Sorrento Peninsula, arguably one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean, can be divided ideally between the side facing North, looking at the Gulf of Naples and the Amalfi side, facing South and looking towards the Gulf of Salerno. There is much more to it, though, than the lovely towns of Sorrento and Positano. All around the Peninsula there is a whole world to be discovered, still relatively unknown to mass tourism. Seven villages and many hamlets, each with their own history and traditions, are spread over a large area, most of which is under the municipality of Massalubrense. Looking over Capri the Bay of Naples, this area hosts some of the most exclusive villas of the Peninsula, offering a unique combination of idyllic, peaceful countryside and proximity to the more famous resorts of Positano, Sorrento and Capri. Along the coast are small pebbly beaches, enchanting bays and sheltered coves, that can be best explored on hired boats
Sorrento, Campania / Sorrentine Peninsula area
Massalubrense is the main municipality of the Peninsula and is a heaven for food lovers. Many eating houses, ranging from Michelin star restaurants to local trattorie, invite to savour the beautiful food of this fertile land and local shops display an abundance of fresh produce. During summer, every village hosts festivals; walking tours available( also individual) The house provides a book with every information you will need.
How to get there
The Sorrento Peninsula is easily reached from Naples International Airport (with daily flights from UK) in a short drive. From May through October, direct flights from New York are also available. From those who prefer not to drive, buses from Naples airport will bring you in the centre of Sorrento. Private transfers are by far the most convenient way to reach your holiday rental. Guestbook for Il Melograno
We just wanted to write and say how much we enjoyed our stay in Il Melograno. The house is clean and beautiful, with fantastic views from the terrace, and the the village is charming. We were lucky enough to be there for the village's festival so we had live music and fireworks for the first two days of our holiday. We went to Pompeii, Sorrento, Marina del Cantone. Massa Lubrense and the Amalfi coast, but we would also recommend a trip to Paestum for anyone who has hired a car and is interested in history. The Greek temples there were even more impressive than the buildings at Pompeii. Thank you again, Diane & Jon + children
Our stay in Termini was the highlight of our five weeks in Europe. We highly recommend Marina del Cantone, where we spent the better parts of our days on the beach. We enjoyed the same restaurants mentioned by previous visitors and particularly enjoyed cooking dinner at home and having our family meal on the terrace! S & C Sullivan,Pat and Rosalind - Portland, Oregon We enjoyed our week in Termini. It was so quiet and restful after the stress of big cities like Rome. The view of Capri was great. All of us loved the villa! The accommodations were outstanding. It was a pleasure to come back to Il Melograno each evening for relaxation after hours on the road. The local people and restaurants were also enjoyable. Thanks for the memories! Maybe we can come back. J&R Young - M&C Carr - Columbus, Ohio, USA
