About the home

Villa Generosa lays on the top of a hill about 300 meters above sea, on the beautiful sea of the Natural Oasis of Punta della Campanella. Therefore it is in a peaceful area in the middle of Massa Lubrense and Sant'Agata sui due Golfi, an unspoiled landscape of green, citrus and olive groves in the heart of the Sorrentino Peninsula. The property is also a few minutes drive away to the centre of Sorrento (10 min) and Positano (20 min), the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. A few kilometers from the villa there is the bay of Nerano with its pebble beach where guests will enjoy the crystal clear waters of the Gulf, fresh fish meals, and boat trips to the magical coves and inlets which form part of the Marine Protected Area or Capri island or along the Amalfi Coast.

The villa, distributed on different levels along the hill profile, was designed for comfortable stays during all four seasons. There is air conditioning and heating. The main access to the property is from the upper part, where you have the parking area, good for two cars. Other cars can be easily parked along the road. The indoors are composed by a main building on 2 floors and a dependence. Every unit is surrounded by terraces and blooming gardens overlooking the sea and the coast.

The main house has 4 bedrooms (3 double and 1 single) on the upper floor. Room 1 - This double room has a comfortable Queen size bed, TV, private bathroom with bathtub and a panoramic terrace. Room 2 - This double room has a King size bed, TV and panoramic terrace. The bathroom is located just outside the room. Room 3 - This double room has a King size bed with panoramic window and private bathroom. Room 4 - This single room has a French sized bed, TV and a panoramic window. The bathroom is located just outside the room. (An extractable bed is also available in on request).

On the ground floor you have a largest open space with two luxury sofas, comfortable chairs, Flat TV, stereo and PC facilities for music listening and relax. The living room has also a fireplace, located in front of a panoramic windows to enjoy romantic moments or readings. The dining area is equipped by an 18th century English style dinner table for 8/10 people. Next to the dining area there is a very well equipped separate kitchen is located. The kitchen is furnished in a rustic style of the Amalfi coast as a typical familiar kitchen! A service bathroom is also located on this floor. A widest and panoramic terrace runs around the main house, there take place a pergola shaded by a lush climber vine. This terrace has a table decorated with hand-made tiles in Vietri style and chairs good for 8 people. There you can have al fresco dinners or a breakfast facing on the amazing view of Nerano Bay and Gulf of Salerno. On the other side there are two lounge areas with 2 comfortable sofa and an armchair where you can admire a fantastic sunset Chilling a cocktail and appetizers at sunset or just after dinner in a moony night.

Further details outdoors:
Outside there are a wide grass space and a large panoramic terrace. All the furniture are made in stylish wrought iron. Going down there is the solarium and the swimming pool. All the area is surrounded by olive trees, bougainvilleas and Mediterranean plants to guarantee the maximum privacy in a pleasant ambiance, always admiring the astonishing view of Li Galli Islands and the Amalfi Coast. The pool area is split in two levels. The upper level comprises a living area with sofa, a cocktail bar, a kitchenette and a lunch area. The lower level comprises the pool itself and the solarium equipped with sun beds. A dressing room and a bathroom with shower is also available in this area.

The Campania region

Villa Generosa is located in the Sorrento peninsula facing on the islands of Li Galli, the two legendary smallest islands of Ulisse’s sirens, once owned by the most famous dancer of the world Rudolph Nureyev. The view of this Villa is really amazing overlooking the Gulf of Salerno from the far Punta Licosa to the cape of Monte San Costanzo falling down to the Punta della Campanella. On the East side you will see the Amalfi coast with the mountain and several delicious little town, built on rocky ridges along the coast as Positano and Praiano. On the west and south side you will be immersed in the view of the astonishing Baia of Nerano, Li Galli, the island of Vetara and the private island of Lisca, owned by the family of the famous actor and writer Eduardo De Filippo.

The Sorrento, Campania / Sorrentine Peninsula area

With its 42 kilometre stretch of gently sloping coastline and white pebbled-beaches, the Amalfi Coast is an 'earthly paradise' with breathtaking beauty.

AMALFI COAST: One of Italy's most spectacular coastlines begins after Sorrento, runs through Positano and continues until it reaches Amalfi. Looking along the tall cliffs and down into the sapphire sea, takes your breath away.

POSITANO: A vibrant village with narrow, colourful buildings which cascade like a waterfall down a vertiginous hill to the sea. Positano's town centre meanders down to the waterfront, where a profusion of cafes, bars and restaurants sell fresh seafood. The beach air is filled with the perfume of orange, almond blossom and jasmine.

AMALFI: Once the most important trading port in the southern Italy, Amalfi is in the ravine of the Mulini Valley, its churches, towers and arcaded houses rising above the small harbour. The town's Duomo dominates a long flight of steps and embraces a picturesque piazza stretching to its seafront. A wonderful contrast between fine beaches in front and tall cliffs behind.

CAPRI: Capri offers panormamic vistas at every turn, picturesque eateries with local seafood and blue grottos hidden under the limestone cliffs. A trip to Capri is ideal for a one-day excursion from Sorrento with the hydrofoil. Capri is, unquestionably, the holiday princess of the Italian islands: idyllic and rugged with its shimmering Blue Grotto and cliffs that descend down into the sea. Capri has trendy jewellery shops and designer boutiques.

POMPEII & VESUVIUS: Pompeii is one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in the world and Vesuvius is the only active volcano in Europe. Pompeii and Herculaneum are cities buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and re-discovered in the 18th century. It is possible to drive to 3,200 feet and then trek to its summit to enjoy the mesmerising views of the entire gulf of Naples.
