Just an hour's drive separates the villa from many other Italian gems: historic Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, ravishing Naples, and the Blue Grotto on Capri. Nearby Sorrento is an interesting place to explore the Roman and Greek culture and ancient architecture. The Basilica of San Antonio is one of the most beautiful sights on the Amalfi Coast.

There are plenty of boutiques, bars, and authentic restaurants here, and you must try the traditional cuisine of the area- specifically the provolone del monaco cheese and refreshing limoncello.
