About the home
The apartment is located just two minutes’ walk from steps leading down to the idyllic sandy beach of Son Parc, one of Menorca's best kept secrets. The apartment is close to a good selection of bars and restaurants and is one of only forty on the same complex. Immediately outside the apartment entrance door are two kidney-shaped communal pools. The private sun terrace is equipped with sunbeds, table, seating for four and a parasol. With one double and one twin bedroom the apartment can sleep up to four persons (plus one baby). The owners have let the apartment since 2002 and have many happy guests from previous years.

A travel cot and / or high chair can be hired for an additonal charge of £15 per week per item. If a travel cot is required, please bring cot linen and make use of the washing machine. The bathroom has been completely re-done during the winter (2010/2011) and so guests will enjoy the benefits of a completely brand-new suite, shower and tiling. Photos will be uploaded once the work has been completed at the end of March 2011.
Further details outdoors:
UPV doors slide open from the lounge onto the patio area which contains a table, chairs, parasol, sun-beds and a BBQ. The sun-beds can be taken outside and placed by one of the two communal kidney-shaped pools. Also, there is a BBQ. In June, July, Aug the east/south-east facing patio area gets the sun from dawn until around 15:00 hrs and is bordered by shrubbery so that you have privacy for sunbathing. There are two swimming pools immediately outside the apartment's entrance door and it is only a short walk from the apartment to the superb soft sandy beach at Son Parc.
Further details
The owners are completely flexible on arrival and departure days (e.g. arrive on a Monday, depart 10 nights later on a Thursday).
If you do not wish to depart before 10.00 am on your last morning because you have a late flight home, it is possible to book one extra night (pro-rata cost).
The apartment is managed by English speaking representatives based in Menorca who are just a telephone call away should you require assistance during your stay.
Conditions
Smokers are welcome however smoking is prohibited INSIDE the apartment.
£100.00 deposit, or 25% deposit if stay is 15 nights or more, secures the booking. Balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival at apartment. If booking within 8 weeks prior to arrival date, full payment must be made upon booking.
Please do not book flights until apartment availability has been confirmed.

The Menorca region


Menorca is a beautiful island ideally suited to young families. All around the coast there are small secluded sandy coves and large sun-kissed beaches. There are many places of interest. Monte Toro, in the centre of the island, is the highest point and can be reached by car or foot. Ciutadella, the old capital, has a picturesque harbour from where it is possible to catch a ferry to Majorca. Mahon, the present capital, has the second deepest natural harbour in the world and is a great place to visit during the day (e.g. shopping, gin factory visit or a glass-bottomed boat trip) and at night (e.g. quayside restaurants, lively bars and harbour illuminations).
The Son Parc / Els Vents area
Son Parc is situated on the north coast of the beautiful island of Menorca. The resort has all the facilities one would want. Bars and restaurants. Nightly entertainment. Golf., Tennis, Horseriding. Beach bars. Excellent sandy beach with dunes behind. Sheltered bay, ideal for safe bathing. Shallow crystal clear water for young ones to paddle. The apartment is situated in a quiet complex of just 40 apartments which has the benefit of two kidney shaped pools. One of which is situated literally less than a dozen paces from the apartments lockable front door. The island's only golf course is in Son Parc and it has recently extended to a full 18 holes. During May to October (inc) all amenities in the resort and the island are available. During November to April (inc), the resort has restricted amenities, however there are shops, bars & restaurants open in nearby villages/towns and therefore a car is essential in the close season. The island of Menorca is a joy to visit year round. Payment by credit card, via Paypal, is accepted.

During the holiday season (01 May to 31 Oct) there are flights to Mahon Airport (MAH) from most UK regional airports. Budget airlines are EasyJet (from Gatwick, Bristol and Liverpool) www.easyjet.com and Jet2 (from Leeds/Bradford & Newcastle) www.jet2.com. Worth considering is IBERIA Airlines. Whilst it is not a direct flight from Heathrow, normally you fly via Barcelona or Madrid. For care hire, the owners recommend Autos Victoria, a family-owned car hire company who have been renting out cars on the island of Menorca for over 15 years. www.carhiremenorca.com

One of the best aspects to this apartment is that it is so close to the lovely beach, just a few minutes walk but there are quite a few steps down to the beach. The pool was lovely too, right out side the apartment door, and we had it to ourselves, even though it was July. The apartment was clean and comfortable, since we visited, I believe that a new bathroom and satellite T.V have been put in, which should make it even better. The owner of the property was very helpful and replied very quickly to any questions. |

If your holiday period covers two different weekly rates, please divide each weekly rate by seven to obtain the nightly rate and then multiply by the number of nights for each rental rate period. Bed linen and hand / bath towels are supplied and changed weekly. The apartment is cleaned between lets. There is a Zanussi washing machine and airing & ironing facilities. If you have a baby, cot and high chair hire is £15.00 per week per item. Please bring your own cot linen and make use of the washing machine. For stays of up to and including 14 nights, a £100.00 deposit is required upon booking, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before departure. For stays of 15 nights or more, a deposit of 25% is required upon booking with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before departure. For bookings made within eight weeks of the departure date, the full amount must be paid upon booking. Payment may be made by cheque / internet transfer / PAYPAL.
