Los Girasoles is a classically-built apartment complex divided into several blocks all looking onto the central pool which is itself surrounded by spacious well kept gardens with plants, bushes and trees. There is a children´s pool and sunbed area. This is an ideal option for families with children who want the perfect holiday!

These apartments may be ground floor, with 4 or 5 steps leading up or upstairs.

All have covered terrace as well as a smaller one at the back. The interior decor is classical and well looked after with recent furnishings. The lounge/dining room is comfortably furnished and in most cases has a sofa bed, a couple of armchairs, a table and dining chairs. A small but practical breakfast bar separates the compact but adequately equipped kitchen. Just behind, off the passageway there is the bathroom with bath including shower accessory, WC, and washbasin. Also the two double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans, one of which has access to a small rear terrace.

As in Son Bou Gardens, guests have access to a wide variety of services and activities such as bars, restaurants, supermarket, children´s play area, water slide, Scuba-diving centre and a diverse selection of shops.

Payments and deposits

In order to confirm your booking, our payment system requires you to pay a deposit which will guarentee your villa and legalize your contract with Menorca Rentals.

For reservations made with more than 60 days of arriving, a deposit of 25% is required.

Between 60 and 31 days of arriving – the company requests a 40 % deposit.

For last minute bookings under 30 days the company requests the full holiday payment.

Final holiday payments have to be concluded 40 days prior to arrival. Should this not occur, a reminder will be sent.

Payment by credit card.

Payment by PayPal.

Payment by bank transfer.

Please liaise with our central reservations office regarding payment queries or special form of payments

Property check in

You understand and accept that the official “check in” time is 14.00hrs. However, to reduce unnecessary waiting time, the company will endeavour to have your property prepared for or around your arrival time; but this depends on the outgoing guests and the maintenance and cleaning staff’s schedule. Our resort receptionists will advise.

Property check out

You understand and accept that the official “check out” time is 10.00hrs. However, where possible the company will endeavour to allow a later check out, but this depends on the incoming arrival guest and the requirements of the maintenance and cleaning staff. Our resort receptionists will advise one day prior to the end of your holiday.

Special requests

If you have a special request that does not form part of the arrangements described on this web site or in our brochure, please inform us in writing. We will where humanly possible endeavour to assist and prepare your request. Special requests regarding accommodation cannot be guaranteed although every effort will be made to accommodate your wishes.

Disabled travellers

Menorca Rentals is not a specialist provider of holidays for the disabled, although some of our properties are prepared for disabled guests and wheelchairs. It is very important that you advise us regarding any special needs when enquiring about a holiday. By informing us, you are helping us to ensure that you are provided with the most suitable property for your needs.

Changing your booking

We are responsible for providing the holiday we have confirmed to you. If you alter your booking later on i.e. add or cancel members, add new dates and details, or even change your property type the reservations department needs to be informed immediately by writing, a solution will be discussed and you may have to pay an amendment charge.

Cancelling your booking

If you cancel your holiday or any component, the party leader must write, fax or e-mail our central reservations department. Cancellation takes affect on the date we receive your letter. Our cancellation charges are the following:

More than 90 days prior to departure – loss of 10% of final holiday cost.

90 - 61 days prior to departure – loss of 25% of final holiday cost.

60 - 31 days prior to departure – loss of 40% of final holiday cost.

30 – 0 days prior to departure – The total holiday cost, representing 100%.

If you have a complaint

If you have cause for complaint whilst on holiday this must be brought to the attention of our Menorca Rentals reception staff immediately. Action will be taken at the time to rectify the problem or to find a satisfactory solution. Menorca Rentals S.L. will always endeavour to find a solution to your distress, but if the actions are unsatisfactory to your demands, the reception has official complaint forms at your disposal. Any complaints that have not been reported and logged with the reception at the time of your stay, or any complaints not reported at the time with the reception and that are received after your contracted holiday with us – may prove difficult to investigate and rectify.

The Balearic Islands region

Whether coming by air via Mahon´s recently re-built airport, or by sea into either Mahon or Ciudadela´s historic ports, a visit to Menorca is an experience that should not be missed.

The island, which is nominated “the green one” of the Balearics is situated to the north-east of them. I t is 700m2 approximately with a length of 53Km. (from Mahon to Ciudadela) and a width of 19.51Km. Menorca is not a big island, but this is what gives it charm.

As soon as you arrive, you can feel a slower pace of life along with its tranquility.

Even with the tourist industry, Menorca has been able to combine economic growth with a respect for its environment and from 1993 has been declared a Biosphere Reserve.

Son Bou

Son Bou is the islands prime tourist spot, not only for its beautiful beach and tourist facilities but also for the surrounding areas of interest. The resort is located to the south of the island, in the area of Alaior, and can be divided into three areas:

Son Bou

Is the actual commercial heart, offering a wide range of established restaurants, bars and shops. Son Bou is also the only gateway to the resorts beautiful wide beach, a superb beach, with fine white sand, which stretches for 3 km, linking with the neighbouring resort of Santo Tomas. It’s a spectacular beach which suits everyone, it has its popular areas with sun beds, umbrellas and beach activities to rent out, beach bars to view the beach life and in the evening, for watching romantic sunsets, the red cross station helps make you feel cared for and as a reminder that Son Bou is also a protected nature park there is an area behind the beach which is home for a variety of wild life, including ducks.

For those who like to be closer to nature there are quieter spots within a ten minute walk for “naturalists”. This is a beach which due to its dimensions, always offers an agreeable sensation of space no matter how many bathers there are.
