Hermanus is a 45 minute drive away from Somerset West, which is a famous coastal town for the viewing of birthing of whales.
45 minutes in an inland direction is the famous town of Franschoek well known for its French/Huguenot history, as well as the university town of Stellenbosch that is about 20 minutes drive from Somerset West which was established by the early Dutch setlers.

Spanish farm is a tranquil suburb of Somerset West, a small town within the wineland region and offering the opportunity to golfers of excellent golf courses.
