Only 10 minutes from the beach, Y Bwlch in Solva has beautiful sea views over St Bride's Bay from both the house and garden, giving a wonderful seaside feel to the property. The Pembrokeshire coast beckons! Don't worry, your dog is very welcome to join you too. We are in the process of putting new furniture throughout Y Bwlch, it will feel like you have arrived as the first guests in a brand new house! Everything from the cutlery, settees, beds and bedding will be brand new ready for the first guests who book to stay from Saturday 19th July! Book now to avoid disappointment.

Ideal for one large family or perhaps two holidaying together, this recently built detached holiday home is in a safe and attractive cul de sac, within walking distance of all of Solva. It is just a 2 minute stroll to the friendly village pub, The Royal George. From there you can meander down past the small independent shops to the harbour to find more pubs and a choice of places to eat.

Only 10 minutes' drive from the beautiful City of St Davids with its cathedral and Bishop's Palace, Solva itself offers wonderful opportunities for walkers, families (crabbing for the kids!), dog owners, kayakers, sailors, and more.

Within 10 minutes in either direction of Solva you will find beaches waiting for you: paddle, swim, fly a kite, build a sand castle or take a long walk on the Coastal Path. If you want to surf, windsurf or kitesurf for the first time you will find instructors and equipment hire in Newgale and St. Davids.

There are plenty of places to walk your dog: Solva Harbour has no restrictions in place, dogs are allowed on part of Newgale beach throughout the summer, and there is plenty of walking on Solva Airfield (disused) and all the country lanes from the village.

This is our beautiful 4 bedroom detached property in the heart of Solva, with lovely sea views, off road parking for 3 vehicles and a fantastic large enclosed rear garden with a raised area which is particularly well suited to soaking up the sun!

Y Bwlch will be beautifully furnished in time for your stay. It is the perfect place to stay when you visit Solva, from the kitchen window you can enjoy sea views whilst you prepare breakfast. There are 3 bathrooms (all with showers), each one is finished in natural stone with fantastic showers, you won't need to fight over the bathroom even if there are 8 of you!

With every part of Solva within walking distance this is a great house in a great location.

The West Wales/Pembrokeshire region

Solva is a beautiful coastal village, it's harbour is within walking distance of Maes Y Gwaelod, here you can walk, kayak, sail, fish, eat & drink at either The Cafe on The Quay or The Harbour Inn. Dogs are welcome all year round on this beach. In lower Solva you have the shop Window On Wales to visit, Simon Swnfields Gallery and shop, Raul Speeks Gallery which includes The Lavendar Cafe, The Ship Inn offering food and a very friendly atmosphere and The Cambrian Inn offering lovely restaurant quality meals and a welcoming bar. There are lovely walks in every direction from Solva, whether you prefer the coastal path, the local lanes, the local woodland, we have it all. If you are into your cycling, you've come to a great place for that too, the roads and lanes from Solva offer some wonderful venues for riding, if you want to get the heart pumping there are some good hills too! These can be avoided if prefered.

There are two children's parks in Solva and a Skate Park, there is also the Solva Airfield which is a great place to get the younger ones off their stabilisers and onto 2 wheels! There are 2 football fields as well if you fancy a kick around with a ball and would rather have a day off from the beach.

Solva seems to have it's own mini climate, it seems to get a great deal of sun and less rain than many regions (in my opinion!). There is a lot to get involved with in Solva and St. Davids. On the weekend of May 25th & 26th May there is The Really Wild Food & Countryside Festival in The Bishops Palace, St. Davids, on May 27th there is the Parc Y Capel Fete, an annual event including food, drinks, games, sports races for the children and more. On the 2nd August there is the annual Children's Regatta, there is something for everyone to get involved with here, On the 18th August there is the annual Inshore Regatta, this is one for the teenagers and adults, great fun. Then on the 19th August there is the annual Solva Raft Race, an opportunity for teams to try their hand at raft making, you then have to test it too!!

"Fantastic stay in an exceptional property"

Solva is lovely part of the world and this is a fantastic place to stay. Rooms are all a good size with penty of space for things. House is in a superb location and the views from the bedroom I stayed in were idyllic. Loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend
