The perfect Mediterranean climate of the Soller valley has nurtured the production of the fines oranges and lemons in the world. A relaxing holiday is assured, gazing at boats gliding in and out of the harbour,people watching in the harbour side cafes or the square of Soller. Relaxing on the beach or following one of the many picturesque paths in the Sierra D'Tramuntara mountain range that surrounds the lovely Soller Valley.

Soller / Port of Soller area

Within a twenty minute drive of Soller is the lovely village of Deia which offers a deep water beach for wonderful swimming. The house of the writer and poet Robert Graves will opened this Spring as a Museum. This village is well known for it's fabulous, elegant restaurants.Fornaltx another ancient and beautiful mountain village is within a ten minute drive of Soller. Two doors along from the apartment is a new Maritime Museum and several galleries sellingoriginal work frank the waterfront. There is a folk dancing festival in Soller in July and other festivals through out the summr information about which can be obtained from the tourist office on the front below the apartment.

How to get there

Palma Airport is serviced by Easyjet,Bmi, charters and other low cost airlines. The airport is a half hour drive by car. I can recommend you contact an English speaking driver direct called Pierre to pick you up at the airport.He charges 42euros to the apartment from the airport which includes the toll through the tunnel. Tel +0034 609476561. Car hire not necessary.There is a bus to Palma from Port of Soller every hour on the half hour. I recommedn Llaser Rent a Car. There are always local taxies available should walkers wish to be dropped at a starting point for a walk or for general transport. There is a delightful festive tram that connect the Port of Soller with the main town of Soller.

Living room and kitchen open on to private sunny balcony. The bedroom is equipped with fitted warrobes. The apartment is romantically lit. The mountains in the distance change colour with the sunset which can be seen from the bedroom window over the Mediterranean. It is absolutely lovely to watch the changing faces of the sea as the lights from the many restaurants that front the full length of the bay and offer holiday makers a variety of delicious dishes.become reflected in the water. This apartment is an absolute winter sun trap.

The apartment is a five minute walk to a full range of shops,restaurants, supermarket, home made take away food and a safe, sandy beach.Another beach is a short ram ride away. There is a sailing school for the children,paddle boats and an underwater diving school. In Srping and Autumn, the lovely surrounding mountains range offer a marvelous variety of marked walks. There are boats in the Port that take passengers along the rocky coastline to Sa Calobra,Deia and the Foradada. The town of Soller with it's beautiful stone houses and lovely patios is a five minute car ride or tram ride. You can buy fish and praws direct from the fishing boatsthat bring the catch into the Port around five.
