The Mallorca/Majorca region
Our house lies at the end of Soller valley amidst the magnificent Tramuntana mountain range which is famous for walkers worldwide. The valley is full of olive, orange and lemon groves. The inland town of Soller is recognised as being one of the most charming in Mallorca, and richly deserves its reputation. Narrow, cobbled streets and countless steps lead to hidden corners and delightful views. Surrounding the atmospheric village square are cafes, restaurants and shops with several banks and the Town Hall.
Soller is approximately 5 minutes drive away and has a Saturday open market as well as many shops, cafes and restaurants. The famous vintage wooden trams take approximately 10 minutes from Port of Soller to reach the Town of Soller. You can catch the tram just outside our house. Deia and Valldemossa are both 30minutes drive along the winding coast road. The village of Fornalutx is in our valley along with other interesting villages.
Soller / Port of Soller area
REPIC BEACH is just 50 metres away from the house and is the only sizeable beach on this side of Mallorca. It’s safe for bathing and is sandy with a stony part where the small river from the mountains finds the sea. Behind the beach is a beautiful esplanade lined with Palm trees, shops and restaurants. Agapanto is another restaurant on the water's edge - it is at the far end of Repic beach and is very romantic as you have dinner by candlelight overlooking the sea and listening to the waves breaking. Guestbook for Port Soller House
Some quotes from families and couples who stayed at our house in 2008
Hi John We returned safely from our very enjoyable week at Port Soller. The weather in the middle of the week was not too clever, with thunder storms but the rest of the week was wonderful. The four couples were delighted with the house. We have stayed in Villas throughout Europe and have never experienced such quality , space and location. Many Thanks, Jim Winterborn.
Hi John Firstly may I thank you, on behalf of our entire group, for the wonderful accommodation provided by your house in Port Soller. Many of the party were already fans of Soller, and the Port, but the house not only lived up to our expectations, it far exceeded them. Veronica, and the ladies who look after the cleaning were a big hit with all of us too.In fact we enjoyed it so much that I have been instructed to start the booking process for next year, immediately. Ian Dempsey. They have.
Dear Mr & Mrs Stickels, Peter and I wanted to let you know how very happy we were at your lovely house in Port de Soller. It was very attractive, well appointed and so comfortable. We wanted for nothing. There was always a spot for the sun worshippers and for those of us wanting shade and of course the marvellous air con system. We loved your local donkey who visited us quite a few times and the resort is a great place - the repic beach end being the loveliest. The whole family have agreed that we would love to return. Thank you very much. Elizabeth Morris”
John Just to let you know we had a lovely week at Port Soller- you have a great house in an enviable location. If you ever hear of something similar coming on the market could you please let us know? Peter Styles
