The Mallorca/Majorca region
Our house lies at the end of Soller valley amidst the magnificent Tramuntana mountain range which is famous for walkers worldwide. The valley is full of olive, orange and lemon groves. The inland town of Soller is recognised as being one of the most charming in Mallorca, and richly deserves its reputation. Narrow, cobbled streets and countless steps lead to hidden corners and delightful views. Surrounding the atmospheric village square are cafes, restaurants and shops with several banks and the Town Hall.
Soller is approximately 5 minutes drive away and has a Saturday open market as well as many shops, cafes and restaurants. The famous vintage wooden trams take approximately 10 minutes from Port of Soller to reach the Town of Soller. You can catch the tram just outside our house. Deia and Valldemossa are both 30minutes drive along the winding coast road. The village of Fornalutx is in our valley along with other interesting villages.
Soller / Port of Soller area
REPIC BEACH is just 50 metres away from the house and is the only sizeable beach on this side of Mallorca. Its safe for bathing and is sandy with a stony part where the small river from the mountains finds the sea. Behind the beach is a beautiful espalande lined with Palm trees, shops and restaurants. Agapanto is another restaurant on the water's edge - it is at the far end of Repic beach and is very romantic as you have dinner by candlelight overlooking the sea and listening to the waves breaking.
