This part of Mallorca is known for its Honey coloured houses, jagged mountains and turquoise sea. Well away from the main tourist areas, ideal for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing holiday.
Soller / Port of Soller area
Port Soller, a beautiful, almost circular, protected bay with safe beaches. You can take a boat along the rugged northern coast to sheltered little bays inaccessible by road. Around the bay are a good number of small restaurants and shops. Nearby are attractive mountain villages of Fornalutx and Biniaraitx, whilst a little further along the coast is Deia, an area of musicians, painters, poets and artists who found inspiration here. The main town Soller is famous for the orange and olive groves that abound in the area. It has a main square where the locals gather for their morning coffee and croissants and to watch the world go by. There is a morning market where local produce is sold and a famous old train which still rattles its way to Palma and back several times a day.
