About the home

Villa Viola is located in the country side of Marche only few miles from the mount Sibillini National Park and 30 km from the sea side. It has been recently restored to high standard levels. The villa is only 5 minutes drive from the hilltop village of Smerillo, a lovely medieval hamlet.

On the first floor there is a fully fitted kitchen, separate dining room with authentic fire place and a sitting room with a double sofa-bed. There are also two double rooms, sharing a specious bathroom with both bath and shower and one double room with en-suite bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is also a spacious balcony with stunning view of a nearby village and the picturesque countryside. It is furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco.

On the ground floor there is a very large living room with a marvellous marble fire place, a separate kitchen fully equipped, suitable for caterer. One double room with en suite bathroom with shower, There is also a separate WC.

The 11m x 6m swimming pool lies within a spacious and secluded garden. There is also a separate outdoor shower near the pool. The villa is ideal for families with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. It is also perfect for those who like walking & hiking

We can also provide special services like baby sitting, music with professional musician, catering for special occasions, parties and private dinners and extra cleaning.

At Villa Viola we now organize cookery courses where you will learn to cook recipes that are part of the traditional Italian cuisine and can be easily made back home. The courses take place in April, May, September and October and they are held in the professional kitchen on the ground floor at Villa Viola. The lessons will take place daily in the afternoon, leaving the rest of the day to enjoy and explore the surrounding area or simply to relax. Evening meals will be what you have cooked and will include local wines. Please contact the owner for more information and prices.

Pets are allowed only outside.
A 20% deposit is required at the time of reservation. Balance in full is then required 60 days prior to arrival together with the security deposit of £250. Damages to the property will be deducted from this amount. The balance will be refunded to the client after all debts have been satisfied. The client agrees to pay the replacement cost of any item is damaged or missing.
Cancellations and refunds:
Until 60 days before arrival: 30% of the deposit made will be refunded for cancellations which are submitted in writing via email or postal mail.
59 or less days before arrival: NO REFUNDS will be made after this point in time.
Insurance: Travel insurance is recommended for all persons staying at Villa Viola. We will not be hel responsible for injury or death to persons in the rental party, or for theft or damage incurred during the rental period.
Rental fees include: accommodation as specified, linens, towels, electricity, water, cleaning service at departure.
Rental fees DO NOT include: security deposit.
Rental week: Saturday to Saturday

The Marche / Abruzzo / Marche region

Le Marche is "one of Italy's best kept secrets". Located in central Italy between the Apennines and the Adriatic, the region enjoys a very varied landscape going from dramatic mountains through rolling hills and hidden valley to long sandy beaches.

Le Marche is an outstanding holiday destination. In the hinterland there are fine, ancient medieval boroughs, whereas the centres along the coast are mostly modern, and suited to summer tourism, thanks to the low waters and fine sandy beaches, apart from one high, rocky cliff at Monte Conero, with, just below, the city of Ancona, the only natural port of the region.

The Smerillo area

The villa is perfectly located between the glorious beaches of the Adriatic coastline and the delightful peaks of the Appenini Mountans, with ski resorts. Smerillo is centrally located for tours of the historic regions of Piceni and for exploring the ancient towns like Ascoli Piceno, Macerata, Camerino, Urbino.

Once chosen by the Ancient Romans as a haven of relaxation, many archaeological sites are to be found nearby. During summers and autumn, there are numerous artistic, folk and culinary festivals
Several activities are available nearby: fishing, mounting biking, horse riding, hunting (seasonal), hiking, guided walks.

Few minutes walk from the villa there are also several local restaurants.
