Visitors are able to travel for miles along quiet country roads, surrounded by magnificent views in every direction; an area dotted with ancient farming communities and rural villages which is typical of this region. This area is perfect for a truly relaxing holiday away from all the stresses and strains of day to day life, where you rediscover a gentler pace of life. It's also great for enjoying a whole host of outdoor pursuits including some of the very best walks in the UK.

Grassington is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and has remained a popular holiday destination for many years. The cobbled streets around the market square are home to a farmers market which is held every last Sunday of the month. Here you will find locally made preserves, groceries and meats. The town also a large number of shops, pubs and a small convenience store, ideal for picking up anything you may need for your self catering holiday. Grassington is just a few minutes from the River Wharfe where a walk to Burnsall can be enjoyed or why not visit Grass Wood when in Spring the bluebells are a real delight to see. One mile from Grassington is Kilnsey, famous for its Crag and where you will find Kilnsey Farm. Here you can fish, spot the red squirrels on the nature trail or enjoy a meal in the café. Continuing up the valley the villages of Kettlewell, Arncliffe, Buckden and Litton are all places that cannot be missed off you to do list. The larger market town of Skipton is just a ten minute drive from Grassington where you will find lots of amenities as well as daily markets, Norman Castle and the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
