Bell Busk is a sleepy hamlet in a conservation area alongside the upper reaches of the River Aire and Otterburn Beck.. It was once the main terminus for the farming and tourist villages of Malhamdale. There was a cotton and silk mill here too until 1905.

The village of Gargrave, is a 2 mile walk along the old drovers track or 10 mins in a car. Gargrave has shops, pubs and an indian restaurant, The village also has a bus and rail service.

The nearby village of Hellifield provides the gateway station for the famous Settle to Carlisle railway journey; described as the most beautiful train journey in England.

Granville House is on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales National Park and just a few miles from the AONB of The Forest of Bowland.

Nearby there are the villages of Malham, Grassington, Horton in Ribblesdale, Ingleton, Bolton Abbey, Downham, Embsay, Kettlewell or Haworth; all famous or worth visiting in there own way.
