The living room is without doubt a feature of the Eagles Nest. A large vaulted ceiling with three large

windows and a 3.5 metre sliding door provide natural lighting from all directions. Views from these large glass panels sweep spectacularly over the Atlantic Ocean, the expansive cliffs protecting the Irish coastline from its often wild and spectacular waters, ancient islands scattered along the coast, the secluded and tranquil harbour of Tragumna Bay with its Blue Flag Beach and then further inland to the rolling mountains and hills of Ireland's famous West Cork scenery. Indeed, taking this in with your first morning coffee will have you convinced there is no need to leave the home to see more of Ireland!

A large stone feature wall inside the living room, with an inlaid LCD Television CD/DVD player, sat TV, a large leather couch and a cosy multi fuel fireplace, all tastefully selected and set amongst other carefully selected pieces of imported furniture will leave you wanting nothing as you relax in your home. The kitchen was completely replaced in the modernization project, the end result is a fully equipped, state of the art cooking environment comprising of ivory coloured cabinetry, a hardwood teak worktop with integrated appliances, a large fridge/freezer with integrated ice dispenser and cold water tap, a 5 ring gas stove top and chrome appliances.

Eagles Nest comprises of 3 bedrooms, one King sized bed with en suite, one queen sized bed and the third room is a twin. 2 of the bedrooms have their own sliding door which leads on the the large decking and outdoor jacuzzi area.

Further details outdoors

Stretching out of the living room and two of the bedrooms, is a massive decking which provides an even more stunning vista. An outdoor jacuzzi has recently been put in place on the decking.Over 180 degrees of breathtaking scenery. The elevation of the outdoor decking is such, it leaves the observer with a feeling of floating over the marvellous landscape, across the rolling green hills, the towering cliff faces and the Atlantic Ocean. The yard is expansive and re grassed, surrounded by high hedges offering seclusion and privacy without impeding the stunning vistas.

Tragumna itself is a tiny community balancing on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with a local Pub named the 'Eagle' which is known across the country for its Irish Hospitality, its love of traditional music and its ability to transport all who step through its doors, back 100 years....an experienced not to be missed, an opportunity to mix with the local people and only a two minute drive from the Eagles Nest.

Skibbereen is the capital of West Cork, 5 miles from Tragumna. It is the centre for all the agricultural, industrial and tourist activities of a wide region. As the ‘hub’ of West Cork, With 18 pubs in the town and award winning restaurants scattered all around, there is also plenty to do in the evening.

"Home from Home"

this is ideal for anyone travelling who doesnt want to stay in hotels or B & Bs. bring food with you as the nearest shop is Skibbereen (4 miles ) we ate out on our travels & in the evenings, the views are beautiful especially with a glass in hand from the hot tub, which is fabulous.
our weather wasnt the best so the house was a great comfort and not at all restricting.
a warm welcome from Claire the owner was nice and gave us info on the area too.
A trip to Mizen Head is a must with the beach at Barley Cove ..and a cuppa in Schull was a great day. we also spent an enjoyable day in Cobh at the fota wildlife park and titantic exibition ..the kids loved.

"Lovely house in a stunning location"

This is a lovely house with all the amenities you could ask for, including the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! The hot tub too was a delight - when we weren't out and about one of us was always in there! The location is stunning with gorgeous scenery and walks literally on the doorstep. Claire was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed and even popped by with some cakes which were most appreciated!
