There is also an open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area, sitting area with multi-fuel stove and two shower rooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor. Outside there is a lawned garden and off road parking for four cars. Kate's Cottage an ideal base to explore the many amenities in Skibberen as well as the many attractions in the area.

The Skibbereen area
The bustling market town of Skibbereen has many shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as the West Cork Arts Centre and Skibbereen Heritage Centre. The area around Skibbereen has some breathtaking scenery, such as sandy beaches, coves, rivers, lakes, hills and forests. Other attractions include an 18 hole golf course and an indoor sports centre. Nearby are Leap and Rosscarbey, which are situated in pretty surroundings overlooking the West Cork coastline. Other activities in the area are dolphin and whale watching and the market town of Kinsale is also worth a visit. There is so much to see and do that you will not want to leave this wonderful part of Ireland.
