Cabin located by Sjøholt, approx. 40 km from Ålesund. The south-west faced cabin has a panoramic view over the fjord Storfjorden, and is situated in calm surroundings, 165 metres above sea level. Well-known tourist attractions are found within relatively short distances, like: Geiranger, Runde, Atlanterhavsveien (Atlantic Road), Trollstigen and more. The nearest village is Sjøholt, with bank/post, petrol station, grocer etc. This is an excellent starting point for going hiking in the mountains and to experience beautiful Norwegian nature in general. By Valldal (50 km away) you can try rafting during summer. In winter there are cross-country ski tracks 2 km away and alpine skiing is possible within 10-35 km reach. The cabin has an open living room/kitchenette with dining table and seat arrangement. Bathroom with shower and toilet. 3 bedrooms has beds for 6 persons; one with a double bed, one with 2 single beds, and one with a bunk bed. A cot for small children is available on request.

The Fjord Norway region

Ørskog church is often called "The cathedral of Storfjorden?. It is idyllically situated in the centre of Sjøholt. with the sea near by. The church was built in 1873, and has space for about 600 people. There has been a church house at this location since the twelfth century.
