If you are looking for a tranquil and beautiful country retreat, then you will love Pollards Mill. Nestled amongst beautiful countryside in the parish of St Philip, Pollards Mill is the perfect place for people who don't want to stay in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the South coast. I have stayed twice now at Plantation view, the beautifully furnished one bedroom unit at Pollards Mill, and I simply love it there. Everything you need for your stay is provided, linens, towels,a safe and a fully equipped kitchen. The downstairs is very comfortable and upstairs is too; my favourite bit is the verandah off the bedroom which provides fantastic views. Maid service is twice weekly but the maid was very friendly and always happy to come in if needed and bring clean towels etc. Linda, the friendly owner of the property, lives in the grounds of Pollards Mill also, and will pick you up from the airport on arrival, supply basic grocery provisions for when you first arrive, and generally help out with advice on places to visit etc. Pollards Mill is in the country, and has a beautiful pool area and well maintained grounds, but I would strongly recommend hiring a car for those days when you want to venture further than the pool. The property is only a 10-minute drive from Six Roads, where you will find a bank, post office, various stores and a large supermarket for your convenience. Pollards mill is also just 10-minute drive from quite a few stunning beaches, such as Foul Bay, Crane Beach, Bottom Bay and others, and I recommend visiting these. There are also a few great restaurants such as Cutters and Palms etc all within a ten-minute drive of Pollards Mill….just ask Linda for her recommendations. In short, if you prefer a quiet countryside accommodation to a bustling hotel, yet want to be just a 20-minute drive from the activities of the south Coast/St Lawrence Gap area, then Pollards Mill will not disappoint!! Response: Thank you so much for the very positive review people who really appreciate Pollards Mill living!! |
