Ladybird Lodge
About the home
Ladybird Lodge is a newly renovated holiday property which is being offered for the first time on the holiday lettings market. The owners have created a stylish modern property which, along with the private leisure facilities of a tennis court and modern gym, gives holidaymakers a unique retreat.
The Lodge is nestled within the grounds of Bapchild Court which is a 16th/17th Century Georgian House. Surrounded by landscaped gardens Ladybird Lodge has its own private drive and parking area, with manicured flower beds and lawn leading up to the Lodge which is adjacent to the Astroturf tennis court. Here you can enjoy hours of tennis - there are even two mini goals so that football addicts can play to their hearts’ content! If tennis is not your game you can keep fit in the private gym which is located in an outbuilding in the grounds of the Lodge.
For the younger children there is plenty of lawn to run around on and also a children's’ climbing frame and swing in the parking area for the Lodge. With so much to keep you occupied at the Lodge you could easily spend your whole holiday here, but venture out and you will be impressed with the vast array of wonderful places to visit and explore in the immediate area.

Further details indoors:
Ladybird Lodge is approached via a private drive into a large courtyard and is surrounded by open countryside. The accommodation is all on one level with the private gym located in an outbuilding in the grounds of the Lodge. The spacious entrance hall as you enter the Lodge has a large modern chest of drawers and leather occasional chair. Here, there are plenty of tourist information leaflets which have been provided by the owner. The Lodge has wooden flooring throughout which creates a light and spacious ambience. Leading from the entrance hall is the open plan living area. The kitchen is at one end with a large dining area to seat six comfortably. The kitchen is modern with wooden units and black work surfaces. It is fully fitted with all machines including gas hob, electric oven, extractor fan, freestanding fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is plenty of china, glass and cooking utensils for guests’ use. There is a separate utility room off the kitchen with a washing machine and another sink.
The dining area has a modern glass topped dining table and six chairs in a light wood finish. With the white china this is a very attractive area to entertain in - perfect for a special occasion.
The living area has two comfy leather sofas and a separate sofa bed. This is a very spacious room and with the brown leather sofas and attractive burgundy cushions it is the perfect place to sit and relax. There is a large TV with DVD, Video and Freeview, and the owner has left a selection of DVDs for your use during your stay. Large patio doors open directly onto the terrace and here you can sit and watch whoever is on the court playing tennis. There is also a gym located in an outbuilding in the grounds for your use during your stay (NB usage shared with the owner), and has many machines all waiting to keep you fit!
Beyond the living room are the two bedrooms. The first is a double room decorated with lilac linen and pretty lilac cushions. There is a large wardrobe and two bedside tables with lamps. The second bedroom has twin beds which are bright and modern. Crisp linen in pinks and blues complement the colour scheme. With a separate wardrobe and bedside table with drawers in there is plenty of storage space. There are two bathrooms; the family bathroom has a bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail. The second bathroom has a very spacious walk-in power shower, WC and basin.
Further details outdoors:
The tennis court is directly outside the Lodge - this is not only perfect for tennis but there are also two goals so that football can be played as well. For active adults and children alike this property will be very popular.
The Lodge has private gardens with patio table and chairs; there is also a charcoal barbeque. There is a large separate parking area with children’s climbing frame, again for holidaymakers’ use. There is plenty of parking available for several cars.

Faversham is a short drive away and offers many attractions to the holidaymaker. The historic town centre is well worth exploring with many historic sites including Maison Dieu which are the remains of a medieval monastery – it has been a village museum since 1924 and is the oldest in the country. Faversham’s gunpowder mills have dominated the town’s industry for the last 400 years. At Chart Gunpowder Mills you can see the 11 processes in making gunpowder. Faversham is also the home of the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale Farm – here you can spend a lovely day and get a real taste of the fruit growing industry in Kent. Hops also feature in this area and the Faversham Brewery of Shepherd Neame, the oldest brewery in England, offers a wonderful two hour tour where it is also possible to sample the brews!

With pretty beach huts and traditional seaside resorts such as Herne Bay this is a very popular area for enjoying a traditional seaside holiday.
The Cathedral City of Canterbury and the county town of Maidstone are also both only approximately 15 miles away, and are well worth a visit.
