Farmhouse | 5 bedrooms | sleeps 10
Once a double oast and large barn dating from 1880, Hawkridge Oast has been converted into a unique and comfortable family home.
The 2 roundels were originally used for drying hops, but now provide a spacious figure-of-8 sitting room with central fireplace downstairs, and upstairs form 2 large round bedrooms, 1 of which is en suite.
There are 3 more double bedrooms, 2 more bathrooms, and a large well-equipped kitchen/dining area to seat at least 10, making Hawkridge Oast an excellent venue for 1 or 2 families or a large group seeking a relaxing holiday in Kent.
Kick back and enjoy country living with all the frills including plasma TV with Sky, Wifi access throughout the house, and good mobile coverage. Or make the most of the garden which is very kid-friendly. French doors provide access to the large patio.
This is a lovely place to escape to situated just 1 hour's drive from South London, 30 minutes from the coast and at the end of a country lane in the Kentish countryside which offers numerous tourist attractions, country walks, and friendly pubs/restaurants.
There's plenty of parking space. Pets are welcome but please check first.

About this location
The Kent region
Known as the Garden of England, Kent is a great place to relax and explore thanks to its unique blend of countryside with rolling green hills, coast and breathtaking historic attractions
Kent is full of distinctive, contrasting attractions: from the romantic castles and historic houses full of treasures in the Heart of Kent, to the imposing castles built as coastal defences, from secret gardens and stately sweeps to maritime adventures aboard warships and lamp lit tours of ancient caves. Whatever your interest, Kent's diverse personality is sure to capture your imagination.
The location of Hawkridge Oast means that you are spoilt for choice for a range and variety of local tourist attractions. There are many quaint villages in the surrounding countryside with a wide selection of country pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms.
Take a walk in the beautiful gardens of Sissinghurst Castle, only walking distance away. Bedgebury Pinetum is the perfect place for healthy outdoor exercise, with miles of family cycling; mountain biking, walking, horse riding and adventure play for all ages, including Go Ape where you can swing through the trees in a course of tarzan nets and zip wires.
Biddenden Vineyards are approx 5 miles away, producing white, red, rose and sparkling wines. They are also noted for their strong Kentish ciders and farm pressed apple juice. Bewl Water is the south east's largest reservoir and is settled within a green and wooded Wealden valley just south of Lamberhurst. There are many activities that you can pursue in either the lake itself or the land surrounding it, including sailing, cycling & fishing.
