The main house of the Quinta is from the 18th century. It has a beautiful garden were concert are played during the Sintra Music Festival.
The Quinta is in a very quiet area but only minutes away from museums, castles shopping centres, golf courses, restaurants and night-life.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
5 minutes away from the old city of Sintra (World monument) and also 5-7 minutes away from the several beaches like Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs, Praia da Adraga.
Very good restaurants, 8 golf courses within 30 minutes drive, a driving range 5 minutes away, 30 km from Lisbon with all cultural sights etc.
The Sintra area
There are lots of monuments, botanical gardens and museums to visit. Sintra is one of the nicest spots to plan a holiday. Before, already the kings spent there holidays in Sintra. Beaches, restaurants, especially excellent fish and shellfish restaurants are around the corner.
Cultural festivals or museums are within 10 minutes driving. Little markets are in the area selling from clothes to china or simply vegetables.

There are low cost airlines like Easy jet, Vuelling, Air Berlin coming to Lisbon. All main car rentals are at the airport. Renting in Portugal is cheap. Once you have your car you follow the signs to Sintra . Than look for the brown signs that say monuments. Hotel Seteais and Monserrat and then it is only 1 km away. It is a large Quinta painted in green with a huge staircase.

The location of the historical property is gorgeous. Rose fields, beautiful flowers, orange, lemon and vineyard trees cover the property. The overall look of the estate is extremely beautiful and made in great taste. We stayed at the "casa grande" and were not disappointed - on the contrary. It had everything you need for a perfect stay along with a great outdoor area. From the very first moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, just like family. We also had several surprise visits from the sweet dog rommy. The employées are so incredibly nice and go out of their way to make your stay perfect, taking care of every need you might have, without being annoying. It is obviously that they enjoy their work and the guests! Long story short, this is a great getaway spot that is 5-star across the board. Whether you are coming to explore Portugal or lounge by the pool, you won't regret your visit to Quinta da Piedade. We loved every minute of our stay and we will surely be back. |
