Built in 1927 and restored in 1990 we have preserved the antique furniture and added modern day facilities. Swimming pool, lounge area, terraces, cable tv and wifi access available. Easy parking

The property was built in 1927, becoming the first of a series of a tourist rental chalets. It was the residence of a famous architect until it was bought by this family in 1976.

The location of this villa, perched on a hill, allows fantastic views over the countryside and the ocean from the north side and over the mountain range, classified as a world heritage site, on the south side. The pool is also located facing south, sheltered, and features lounge chairs and a dining area with bbq.

The interior of the villa features 4 en-suite bedrooms with complete bathrooms, plus another social bathroom. One library, one living room that opens out to a large terrace and a dining room with a sitting area around a fireplace.

The kitchen is equipped to prepare meals for 10 people including stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and all the necessary appliances.

Using this property as a homebase, you'll have an easy access to Lisbon, Cascais, Estoril and Obidos.

The mountain range features many marked walking trails for hikers or just a stroll in the woods and the lively, fascinating Lisbon is just 45 min away by a very convenient train ride if you don't want to bother driving!

The Açucena Villa is located near the Modern Art Museum and Concert Hall, featuring ballet and music performances.

Off the main street you have a farmers market, grocery shops and banks.

The vintage trolley car that takes you to the beach towns stops just near the modern art museum and provides a memorable journey of about one hour travelling through the rural countryside.
