The Western Cape region

Claimed by many to be the most beautiful city in the world, Cape Town is the business and leisure capital of the Western Cape. Overlooked by Table Mountain the city boasts the V&A Waterfront and many fine restaurants.

Bordered by two oceans the Cape peninsula offers many beautiful beaches. The Cape area is also famous for its scenic wine lands area with many wine estates and restaurants.

Simonstown area

Simonstown is a picturesque village - its distinct Victorian architecture and naval atmosphere and colourful inhabitants give a warm vibrant welcome to visitors. Situated on the on the Cape Peninsula it is the most southern village, and is home to a land based colony of Jackass penguins and many lovely cove beaches.

Simonstown summer days - October to April are dry and warm and are perfect beach weather for swimming, scuba divng, boating, cycling and walking. Excellent golf courses, Clovelley, Steenberg and Westlake are a short drive away and Simonstown well kept secret is its well maintained nine hole links golf course from where you can see the sea from every hole.

For those interested in meandering through the quaint lanes of the village there are antique shops, craft and art stalls and renowned tea and coffee houses as well as gourmet restaurants to visit. The nearest towns of Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay offer excellent restaurants and colourful night life.

Spring days - September brings the fynbos flowers and visits to the magnificent Kirstenbosch Gardens and Table Mountain as well as the whale watching season in False Bay.

Winter days – May to August are crisp in between rainy spells but perfect for exploring the nearby Cape Town’s Waterfront complex or any of the cultural venues on offer - such as the Cape Town Castle or any of the galleries, museums or theatres .

The Winelands of the Western Cape Region are always a wonderful day’s excursion - so too are the many other fine beaches on the western seaboard, such as Clifton.

Beaches:
Boulders Beach with gentle waves, gorgeous scenery is surrounded by massive boulders always protecting it from the wind. It is home to the African Penguin and part of Table Mountain National Park, ensuring it is clean, well maintained and safe.
