About the home

Set in the beautiful Red Hill Mountains overlooking False Bay with its clean, unspoilt beaches, The Boat House offers spectacular ocean & mountain views. The Boat House is fully equipped and elegantly furnished, and offers 3 individually furnished suites, all with bathroom, kitchen and private entrance.

Take a very short stroll to the charming village, penguin beach and yacht club. Let the penguins entertain you and watch the whales play in the Bay, or simply relax and enjoy our indoor solar-heated pool.

Bed and breakfast is available on request. Should you wish to be provided with a continental or cooked breakfast, this can be arranged for ZAR 50 (approx £5) per person per day.

THE LOWER DECK (sleeps up to 5)
A two-bedroom apartment with lounge, dining room, and kitchen. The main bedroom has an en suite shower and a queen size bed while the second bedroom is suitable for children with its double bunk and en suite shower. Lovely sea views from the main bedroom, lounge, dining room, and kitchen. Additional day bed also available.

THE UPPER DECK (sleeps up to 3)
A large room with twin beds, microwave, fridge, en suite shower, and stunning views. Additional pull-out bed available.

THE CABIN (sleeps 2)
A room with a queen bed, a small kitchenette, en suite shower, and sea views.

All guests have access to our solar-heated indoor pool area where there is also a BBQ and pool table.

Conditions

Confirmation of bookings:
To secure reservation we require a 50% deposit with a minimum request of one night deposit.

Prepayment:
Required at least 30 days prior to arrival

Cancellations:
In case of a non-arrival you will be charged 100% of the reservation. The deposit is refundable if reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to arrival.

The Western Cape region

The area around Cape Town, Western Cape is one of the most attractive parts of South Africa, with its fertile valleys and coastline with beautiful bays and beaches just waiting to be explored. The area is at the centre of the South African winemaking industry, with the wineries of Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch close at hand. The cosmopolitan city of Cape Town, Africa's most attractive metropolis, is also easily reachable from here.

The Simonstown area

Simonstown is a quaint, historic town. Visit the naval museum or the penguins at Boulders Beach. Cape Point is a wonderful 20 minute drive away or go by boat from Simonstown Harbour! Visit our Great White sharks at Seal Island by boat (cage diving available) or kayak with the dolphins!! In season, watch the whales play in the bay from your balcony!

From Airport follow N2, exit onto M3 Kirstenbosch turn off. Continue along M3 to Muizemberg. Go along coast to Simonstown. When you enter take alternate route to Cape Point via Runciman Drive (off ramp to the right). Turn right into Arsenal Road and left into Cornwall and continue until you get to Simonskloof white pillars. Enter Simonskloof and take first right into Horatio Way and first right into Dolphin. The house is on the right.

The first rates table displays tariffs for booking the entire property as a whole for up to 10 guests including the Lower Deck, the Upper Deck, and the Cabin.

The second rates table shows tariffs for booking only the two-bedroom apartment (The Lower Deck) which sleeps up to 5 guests.

The final rates table shows tariffs for booking the queen bedroom (The Cabin) which can accommodate 2 guests. For the Upper Deck room which has an additional pull-out bed to allow for a third person, please add ZAR 100 (winter) / ZAR 200 (summer) per night.

For a single guest, the full room rates are charged during the summer and we request a 50% supplement on the full room rate during the winter.
