The Western Cape region

Cape Town is known for its mild mediteranian weather and beautiful rugged terrain with its rare fynbos and amazing views of beautiful turquoise seas.

With the wine routes, Whale watching, Robin Island, Table Mountain and many historic places of interest to visit as well as the beautiful white sand beaches there is always something to do in the Cape.

Simonstown area

Simonstown is a quaint Victorian town that has an interesting naval history. It is famous for its African Penguin Colony which is a World Heritage Site and the only place on mainland Africa where these Penguins live (this is situated across the road from the apartment). This ensures that there is always somenthing to do or see whether you want to relax on a beach or in one of the many restaurants, whale watch in the bay when the whales come in to calf or a visit to one of the many museums or art galaries. Many family outings to consider such as the local gem factory as well as outings to Cape Point being half an hour away. Table Mountain, the wine routes as well as the Waterfront are only half an hour by car via the magnificent Champmans Peak Drive with its amazing views over Hout Bay. Trips to Robin Island available from the Waterfront in Cape Town and trips to Seal Island from Hout Bay. Train station only 15 minutes walk from the apartment with a route into the centre of Cape Town - the railway line is situated next to the sea. Lots of golf courses around as well.

How to get there

International flights direct to Cape Town on SAA; BA; Virgin and via Johannesburg on all domestic airlines. All well known car hire companies operate from both Cape Town and Johannesburg.
