It is tucked away in the beautiful countryside surrounding the old castle town of Silves, seeped in history, and within easy reach of beaches and golf courses. An ideal base for exploring the Algarve and enjoying hot summer evenings on the comfortable terrace.

The Algarve region
Situated just ten minutes drive from Silves,with its spectacular 8th century Moorish castle. this pretty town has been occupied for centuries. Iron Age relics have been found in and around Silves which pay testament to the town’s long history.
Plenty of good restaurants and cafes are located in Silves with friendly locals, supermarkets and a large variety of shops.
The area is centrally located and ideal for visiting the nearby cities of Portimao and Lagos, also the mountain town of Monchique and the lovely seaside villages to the west.

The cottage is situated about 15 kms from the beautiful beaches of the Algarve and very close to the large reservoir 'Barragem do Arade' for fishing and walking.
Casa da Coruja is situated in a sleepy village of just a few houses with several great local restaurants within 2 miles.
There are numerous golf courses around, several within about 20 minutes drive. Please ask us for details as we are keen golfers! Horse-riding is close by, plenty of walks abundant with wildlife.
It is aptly named Owl Cottage, keep a look out for the 'Little Owl'. He will probably be watching you on the approach to the cottage from one of the old olive trees.

There are views to the back of the cottage down to the valley below and hill above. En-suite bath and toilet.
Another room comprises a study with desk and chairs. Separate walk in shower room with bidet and toilet.
Comfortable sitting room with large sofa, english television channels and DVD player. Fully equipped kitchen with dining table and washing machine.
Very pretty, spacious and sunny terrace to the front of the cottage with chairs, table and chiminea for outside dining. View over olive grove.

Welcome pack waiting in cottage, includes water, milk and wine. My parents live in the cottage next door should you have any questions whilst you are there.
