Home description
New in May 2008 luxury duplex in the beautiful river village of Pinos Genil. It has 3 bedrooms (2 with Kingsize double beds, 1 with 2 Single beds). Two bathrooms, each with full bath and shower. Large lounge with comfy leather sofas, Sky TV, DVD and large dining table with 6 chairs. The lounge and main bedroom both have balconies.
The modern kitchen has ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the necessary kitchen utensils.
There is a large 30sq meter roof terrace with fantastic views of the picturesque village and surrounding hills. This sun terrace has 4 sun loungers, table & 4 chairs and a luxury stainless steal gas barbecue for enjoying the summer evenings.
The apartment has marble floors, is fully furnished to a very high standard and has hot and cold air-conditioning in the lounge and two main bedrooms (not 3rd bedroom) and full gas central heating throughout for winter.

The Costa Tropical/Granada region
Granada is one of the most beautiful cities of southern Spain and is typically Spanish. It is situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
The Alhambra Palace (the most visited tourist attraction in Spain) overlooking the city of Granada, stands out as the most famous example of Moorish architecture in the 14th Century.
Granada is famous for its vibrant night-life and is one of the three best cities for college students with the prestigious University of Granada.
Sierra Nevada National Park / Pinos Genil area
The apartment is 5 minutes walk to the centre of Pinos Genil, an extremely beautiful village through which the river Genil runs. On either side of the river there are typical Spanish restaurants, where you can eat outside under the shade of the numerous tress, observing the slow pace of village life. In many ways you might think you are in a French village rather than in Spain.
Pinos Genil is 5 minutes drive to the majestic Alhambra Palace (the most visited tourist attraction in Spain) and 10 minutes from the centre of lively Granada. Granada is one of the most beautiful cities of southern Spain and is typically Spanish. You won’t hear many English voices. If you do not wish to go out of Pinos Genil to eat, there are a total of nine restaurants in the village to choose from.
You can walk to Granada (approximately 1hr 30mins) following the river Genil all the way. Hence this walk is very gentle.
In Grenada, there are literally hundreds & hundreds of quaint old bodegas serving free tapas with every drink, or meals if you require them. To wander and explore the narrow cobbled streets is an adventure in itself!
5 minutes from Pinos Genil is Cenes de la Vega with all the amenities of a small town plus a waterpark. We highly recommend the restaurant Los Faroles (The Lanterns), halfway down the main street on the right.
If you are a skier or snow boarder, then a 25 minute drive into the mountains brings you to Sierra Nevada, an extremely attractive ski station with excellent parking. It has slopes suitable for all standards of skier. Everything you need to know about the ski resort can be found at:
If you are a golfer there are three golf courses within 30 minutes drive.
Note: If you want sausage, egg & chips, Karaoke bars & discos rather than a totally relaxing experience in an idyllic place then do not come to Pinos Genil!

-Granada Airport from Stanstead, Liverpool, or East Midlands Airports with Ryan Air. (25 minutes to Pinos Genil)
-Malaga Airport from numerous airports in the UK, various carriers, (1 hour 30 minutes to Pinos Genil). If you do not drive or do not wish to hire a car, there is a bus service to Granada which takes 90 minutes and costs 10 euros one-way.
